We are so exciting to introduce our new clogging instructor: Velvie Smith

✨Hey guys! My name is Velvie Smith and I am so excited to be back at the studio I love!🎀💐

I’m currently enrolled as a student at Snead State. There, I serve as the President of the Ambassadors. I also am a member of the Jazz Band, the Math Team, and the Quiz Bowl Team. My major is secondary math education! ✖️➗➕➖

Dance has always been a big part of my life! I started dance when I was 3 years old, and I have danced for 15 years with 6 of those being competitively. I’ve had dance experience at Kohl Academy, Studio B, and All That Jazz. In high school, I was on the danceline for 2 years and 1 of those I was Captain. After moving to Boaz, I played on the front ensemble for a year and then served as Drum Major for the Marching Pirates during my junior and senior years. 🪩🎶

After high school, I did not hang up my dancing shoes. This is my second year serving as Sardis High School’s danceline instructor for the Lionettes. 🦁✨

I am so excited to be back at my roots and to work with your amazing dancers! Once I started clogging, dance was never the same for me! It’s a thrill to have the opportunity to share my love for clogging! Happy dancing!!!! 💜🩷

Monday–Thursday, August 31st–September 3rd, dancers are invited to bring a friend along to class! If you have a friend who has been interested in dance, this is a great opportunity for them to join you for class, have some fun, and see what ATJ is all about! 🩰✨

What an AMAZING first week back at ATJ! 💜 We loved seeing our dancers back in the studio, meeting so many new faces, and kicking off Season 7 with lots of dancing, smiles, and fun! 🩰✨

Now we’re ready to jump into WEEK TWO!

ATJ Season 7 classes start Monday, but if you haven't registered yet, don't worry, there's still time.

Registration for our 2026-2027 classes will remain open through October 9th. The easiest way to register is through our website, atjdanceco.com.

If you have questions about registration, classes, tuition or attire, you can visit us at the studio starting next week. Classes begin Monday, August 10th, and doors will be open from 4-8pm Mon-Thu.

We can't wait to see how Season 7 unfolds. Come dance with us! There's No Business Like Show Business! 🎬🎥🎶🎭🎉

Whether you've already registered online or you're just getting started, we'd love to see you! Open House is the perfect opportunity to:

Before You Arrive:
To help make registration quick and easy, we encourage all new families to create an account at www.atjdanceco.com by clicking the Registration button before coming to the studio. Once your account is created, we'll be able to register your dancer for their classes when you arrive.

Don't have time to create an account beforehand? No worries! We'll have a registration station set up in the lobby, along with paper registration forms if needed.

Can't make it to Open House? That's okay! You can still register online anytime for classes that still have openings by visiting www.atjdanceco.com. Dance shoes and studio merchandise will also be available for purchase during the first few weeks of classes, so you won't miss out!

A Little Something Extra Ice Cream truck and their amazing team of ice cream experts will be set up at our Open House tomorrow Saturday August 1st from 11:00-12:00!

Come join us tomorrow from 9:00-12:00 to register for our Season 7 classes.

Open house is a great way to find and register for the perfect class, meet your instructor, purchase shoes & studio merchandise and what better way to complete your day other than enjoying an Ice Cream!!

Even if you have already registered online, we would love to see you at open house. It is a great way to meet your instructors, get sized for dance shoes and purchase studio merchandise.

Important Information for Open House:

•Create an account:
If you are planning on attending our open house, please go ahead and create an account for your dancer through our online registration on our website, www.atjdanceco.com by clicking on the registration button. This way your dancer will already be in our system and we can then register them in their desired classes once you arrive to open house. We will have a table set up out front in the lobby for you to create an account but it may be easier on you to create it before arriving, so that you will be able to go straight to the registration table. If you are unable to create an account, don’t worry...we will also have registration forms available for you to fill out your information at the studio.

We can’t wait to meet our new dancers and welcome back our returning dancers. If you have any questions at all please let us know.🖤💜🤍
