New opportunity for local Beaufort County artists, courtesy of Culture HHI: Crescendo Celebration - Original Cover Art

Hilton Head Island's Office of Cultural Affairs seeks entries from Beaufort County, South Carolina artists for use in promotional materials, websites, digital media, and print advertising for the Town's annual Crescendo Celebration.

Crescendo is a celebration of Hilton Head Island's art, culture, and history. It features concerts, art exhibitions, theatrical performances, guided tours, hands-on arts experiences, poetry readings, documentary screenings, cultural festivals, and lantern parade.

The selected, signature image will be used on the cover of the event schedule. Over 3,000 printed booklets are distributed around the community. It is also shared digitally.

What a morning we had walking the new Bluffton Community Hospital site with the BMH Foundation team. Site visits like this one allow us to validate art location feasibility, double check measurements, and spot opportunities we may have missed by looking at floorplans alone. The Beaufort Memorial Heart of Healing art program is something truly special... we can't wait for the community to see it!

Did you know that artwork in hospital rooms is associated with patients requiring less pain medication, resulting in major healthcare savings annually?

It was our pleasure to curate these paintings among the hundreds of examples of local talent submitted for the Heart of Healing program at the new Bluffton Community Hospital. Honored by my recent appointment to the South Carolina Arts Foundation Board of Directors. Established in 1972, the SC Arts Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to recognizing, encouraging and supporting the art and artists of South Carolina. I look forward to collaborating with my new colleagues toward advancing the rich variety of artistic expression found in the Palmetto State!

A delight to find Southern Home magazine on my doorstep this morning featuring our work with designer Elizabeth Reynolds in Palmetto Bluff. We had the privilege of placing multiple paintings in this gorgeous residence including a pair of custom commissions by El Lovaas, one of which is pictured in the magazine.

Revisiting the project has been a pop of cheer on this otherwise dreary day in South Carolina! Congratulations to our friend and collaborator Elizabeth Reynolds Interiors on the cover story!

💡Illuminating Hope, Igniting Change. Hard to believe it's already been two weeks since we returned from installing the custom art and branding program at Mission Kids!

Before our departure we had the pleasure of attending the ribbon cutting and open house, where donors, legislators, family advocates and partners got their first glimpse at this 37,000 square foot, state-of-the art, purpose-built facility.

It's just the latest milestone in the organization's 20 year history as a leader shaping policy, abuse prevention, and trauma-informed best practices in the care of children and caregivers navigating the justice system.

You can catch a few of the custom pieces we curated and installed in the photos below. Stay tuned for more details on this fulfilling project in the weeks to come.

Installation week at Mission Kids ended on a note that reminded us why this work matters.

Over the last week, we installed the artwork and branding program at Mission Kids Child Advocacy Center, wrapping things up at the Mission Possible Gala, the organization’s annual fundraiser.

We couldn’t have asked for a more fitting way to close out the week: hearing from Mission Kids’ most passionate team members and donors about the journeys that brought them to support this work.

Their new facility not only expands their impact in Montgomery County, PA, but also serves as a training hub for the entire Northeast, allowing Mission Kids to share best practices in trauma-informed care for children and families more broadly.

We’re so proud to have played a small part in shaping this space and to help create an environment that supports such meaningful work.

In the lead up to the grand opening of the new Mission Kids facility this Thursday, enjoy some behind-the-scenes moments from the installation process.
