🍂📸 The Wendt Family | Fall Super Mini Session 🍁

Oh, this family absolutely made my day!! ❤️

The Wendt family decided it was time to update their family pictures after going a little while without having them done, and I am so glad they hopped on one of my Fall Super Mini Sessions!

From the moment we started, they were relaxed, easygoing, and so much fun to work with! No stress, no pressure, just a sweet family enjoying some time together while I captured a few memories along the way.

While we weren't able to get the entire family together for this session, we still made sure to capture some beautiful moments with those who could be there.

And can we talk about how patient this family was with their photographer?! Poor Damen! I think I called him Braxton (his brother's name) more times than I actually called him Damen! 🤦‍♀️🤣 He was such a good sport about it, though! I promise I know who you are now, Damen! 😂

These are the kinds of sessions I absolutely love! Genuine smiles, sweet interactions, a little laughter, and families who make my job feel less like work and more like spending an afternoon with friends.

🍂 Fall Super Mini Session | Kevin & Tammy 🍂

Some couples are just GOALS! ❤️ And Kevin and Tammy are definitely one of those couples for me!

These two have spent so many years building a life together, and what I absolutely love about their story is that they don't just share a life together — they share adventures!

They get to spend their days traveling across the United States for work, seeing new places, making memories, and experiencing life side by side. How amazing is that?!

But what I admire most isn't necessarily where they go or what they do. It's the friendship they share.

They aren't just husband and wife. They're best friends.

And you can see it in the little things. The way they look at one another, the smiles they exchange, the way their hands naturally find each other, and the laughter they share.

There's something incredibly beautiful about a love that has stood the test of time. A love that has grown through different seasons of life and still finds joy in simply being together.

That's the kind of love I admire. The kind of relationship I think we should all strive for. Not perfection, but friendship, companionship, commitment, and genuinely enjoying the person you've chosen to do life with.

Kevin and Tammy, thank you for allowing me to capture a little piece of your love story! It was such a pleasure spending time with you both.

Because the most beautiful love stories aren't always about grand gestures. Sometimes they're about finding your favorite person and never getting tired of doing life together. 🥰

🍂📸 Jaid & Alora | Fall Super Mini Session 💜

Every once in a while, a photography session touches your heart in a way that goes far beyond the photographs themselves. This was one of those sessions for me.

I have a special place in my heart for individuals with Down syndrome and their families. My cousin James, who is still with us, and my cousin Vania, who has since passed away, have both been part of my personal connection to the Down syndrome community. I also spent seven years teaching special education, and those experiences have shaped the way I see people, relationships, and the beauty of our differences.

So, when I had the opportunity to photograph Jaid and Alora, this session meant a little something extra to me. 💜

But what touched my heart most wasn't a diagnosis or a difference. It was the love.

It was the way Jaid looked at Alora. The tenderness in the little moments. The laughter, the playfulness, the hand-holding, the forehead kisses, and the simple joy of being together.

There was no need for perfectly posed photographs or everyone looking at the camera. The most beautiful moments were the ones that happened naturally.

And that is something I have always believed about photography.

The most meaningful photographs aren't necessarily the ones where everything looks perfect. They're the ones where you can feel the love.

These photographs tell a story of connection, patience, joy, and unconditional love. A story that deserves to be seen, celebrated, and remembered.

Jaid and Alora, thank you for allowing me to capture a little piece of your story. You reminded me why I love what I do. 💜

Because at the end of the day, photography isn't just about capturing what life looks like.

It's about preserving what love feels like.

💍 Chris + Stevie | Engagement Sneak Peek 💍

Some love stories just need a little more time to find their way home. ❤️

Chris and Stevie were high school sweethearts, but as life sometimes does, their paths took them in different directions. Years later, those paths led them right back to one another—and I absolutely love that I get to capture this next chapter of their story. 🥹

This session was extra special for me because Stevie and I already knew one another. I had the privilege of teaching both of her children, and now I have the privilege of photographing her love story. Funny how life has a way of bringing people back into our lives in completely different seasons.

Chris + Stevie, your engagement session was beautiful, relaxed, and so genuinely you. The way you laugh together, look at one another, and simply enjoy being together made my job easy. ❤️

🎓 Photographer’s Kid Problems… 📸😂

Although Ian graduated back in May, when your mom is a photographer, there’s one tiny catch…

Clients get edited first. Your pictures get edited when Mom finally catches up. 😆

So, only a few months late, Ian’s graduation photos are FINALLY getting their moment! ❤️

Ian graduated from the University of Oklahoma with his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, and I couldn’t be prouder of him. He’s already back at OU this fall working toward his Master’s degree on a full-ride scholarship through the Philosophy Department and serving as a TA for Business Ethics.

It was pretty special getting to photograph my own kiddo on the campus where he worked so hard to earn that degree. And yes… apparently being the photographer’s son does NOT come with expedited editing. 😂📸

💍 The Allen Wedding | Bladen + Jordan 💍

Yesterday, I had the privilege of capturing Bladen & Jordan’s wedding day, and what a beautiful day it was. ❤️

After spending several hours behind the camera documenting everything from the little details to the big moments, the laughter, the love, and all those in-between memories that make a wedding day theirs… now begins the editing process! 📸

2,368 photos later 😳😂, I’ll be spending the next several days culling, editing, and carefully putting together their final wedding gallery.

This is the part most people don’t see — the hours after the wedding when every image gets looked through, the best moments are chosen, and each photograph gets the finishing touches that bring the story of the day together.
