How do you find the right recording studio?

Sometimes, it starts with the piano. 🎹

Yesterday we had the opportunity to work with Melissa Hickman and Allen Myers, capturing some beautiful tones from our Yamaha grand.

But finding the right studio isn’t really about the gear. It’s about finding a place where people listen to you, understand what you’re trying to create, care about the details, and know how to serve the music in front of them.

That might mean a grand piano one day, a full band the next, and something completely different after that.

Different music. Same standard.

That’s what we believe makes a recording studio the right recording studio.

Can’t believe it… Thank you for all the support!!

I’m honestly still taking this in.

All 15 seats for Drew Six Live at GFM GFM Recording Studios were claimed in two hours.

This night was built around connection—15 people inside the studio, headphones on, sharing the moment a live acoustic record is made. The fact that you trusted this idea so quickly means more to me than I can properly say today.

🎛️ **Audio Medicine**

Sometimes getting an acoustic guitar to sit in a mix doesn’t take much.

In this one, Brian makes a few small moves and lets our LA-2A do some of the heavy lifting. Just enough compression to smooth things out, bring the guitar forward, and help it find its place without fighting everything around it.

It’s the little decisions that make a mix feel right.

🎧 Mic placement, audio levels, session setup, and communication with the production team.

Slide 3 — Finding the Character
🎭 The actor works through the character’s voice, emotion, timing, energy, and delivery.

🔴 A single line might be recorded several different ways — changing pacing, emphasis, intensity, or emotion.

🎬 Producers/directors can listen in remotely and give notes while the actor records.
