We’re closing out our 8th Anniversary Party today (Saturday, 6/13), and it just might be our biggest day yet! We’ve got TWO final beer releases, more sweet treats, and an incredible night of live music. And if you’ve been collecting passport stamps all week, today you can complete your journey and earn your exclusive 8th Anniversary t-shirt!

🌎 Final stops on our world beer tour: Italy and the USA
🇺🇸 Track 8 Double West Coast IPA – 8.8% ABV. Brewed exclusively with Pilsner malt for a light color and crisp body, this beer lets the hops take center stage. Mosaic, Simcoe, and Citra were used throughout the boil and generously in the dry hop, delivering bright notes of orange, mango, pine, passionfruit, and just the right amount of dankness.
🇮🇹 Italian Grape Ale – 8.3% ABV
One of the most unique beers of the week, this hybrid style bridges the gap between beer and wine. While most of the fermentable sugars come from malted barley, 30% come from Italian Sangiovese grape must. The result is a beautifully dry beer with vibrant grape character and a stunning color.

🥃 From the bar:
We're also shaking up a special anniversary cocktail, the Cucumber Mint Mojito. Bright, refreshing, and perfect for a warm June afternoon, this seasonal sipper is a great way to toast the final day of anniversary week.

🍨 Andiamo! It's gelato time.
We're excited to introduce a new offering you'll be seeing more of in the future. Today we'll be serving mint chocolate and lemon (dairy-free) gelato by the scoop, along with decadent gelato sandwiches featuring cookies-and-cream gelato between two house-made chocolate cookies, dipped in chocolate ganache and topped with whipped cream.

🎶 Live Music | 7–10 PM
We’re thrilled to welcome back Claire Adams & Alyssa Murray. Their performances blend beautiful vocal harmonies, Murray’s jazz-influenced piano, and Adams’ pop-forward bass and vocals into a captivating show. Both are longtime fixtures of the Kansas City music scene, and they’re the perfect way to close out anniversary week.

It’s Friday, and we’re rolling into Day 4 of our 8th Anniversary Party with even more great beer, food, and fun!

🌍 Our world beer tour continues today with two new releases from France and Belgium:
🇫🇷 Bière de Garde – 7.2% ABV
This malt-forward farmhouse ale originated in northern France, where its name literally translates to “beer for keeping.” Our version was lagered for nine weeks and features notes of cracker and baked bread, balanced by delicate floral and fruity accents. It finishes dry, smooth, and incredibly drinkable.
🇧🇪 Patersbier – 4.8% ABV
A rarely seen Belgian style, Patersbier (or Belgian Single) was traditionally brewed by Trappist monks as their daily drinking beer. Expect a light, effervescent body with subtle notes of pear, citrus, and pepper.

🍽️ From the kitchen:
Our featured special is a classic French-inspired Niçoise Salad, made with red potatoes, green beans, hard-boiled eggs, tomatoes, Kalamata olives, and pasture-raised chicken breast over spinach, finished with a vinaigrette made from our Bière de Garde.
🍰 Dessert:
Orange Chocolate Cheesecake — creamy orange custard on a cookie crust, finished with rich chocolate ganache.

🍻 Happy Hour: 12–5 PM

🎶 Live Music: Matt Cozart returns at 7 PM, bringing acoustic favorites from across the musical spectrum, joined by his wife Sherissa on keys and trumpet.

⚽ We’ll also have Team USA on the TVs, so you can keep an eye on the match while enjoying live music, great beer, and the anniversary festivities.

TWO more beers hitting the tap wall today (Thursday, 6/11) for day 3 of our world beer tour. Not too late to start your passport journey to earn a free shirt, but the New Zealand Pale Ale from Tuesday is moving quickly and will likely kick before Saturday. Now, for today's new releases:

British Brown Ale - Our take on the British Brown Ale style is extremely approachable and sessionable at 4.3% ABV. It is another classic style that is malt-forward and malt-focused. From our version, you can expect notes of toffee, toasted bread, nuts, and light cocoa

Cherry Doppelbock - This is our heaviest hitting beer on the tour, clocking in at a cool 10% ABV. It made its debut in the holiday box last year, so you may have tried this one if you got the 2025 12 Beers of Christmas box. Yet another very malt-focused style on our tour. Expect a medium-full body with notes of molasses and dark fruits, with the cherry providing a bright note to complement the warming alcohol.

We have a global-inspired trivia tonight from 7-9, so it's a great day to grab your buds and come by for the party!

The next stop on our 8th Anniversary beers around the world tour lands us in Scotland with today's (Wed, 6/10) release of Wee Heavy. Our version of this traditional Scottish strong ale clocks in at 8.8% and pours a deep amber color with a touch of ruby. This style is strongly malt focused and malt driven. Expect toasty bready notes as well as toffee and plums. It finishes malty sweet with a touch of roastiness. Slàinte mhath!

If you didn't start your passport journey yesterday, swing in today to get the first two beers on the tour and start working towards your free anniversary t-shirt! Starting tomorrow, they'll be released two a day through Saturday, so get your drinking shoes on and come see us.

Thursday is Global Trivia, and Friday and Saturday both feature live music and some delicious food specials!

🌏 First stop: New Zealand 🇳🇿
Our first release drops tomorrow (Tuesday): a New Zealand Pale Ale hopped with Nectaron and Wakatu hops. Expect bright notes of citrus and lime zest, along with hints of pineapple and peach.

EFB Bartenders here - WE ARE OPEN‼️

Due to the road construction, business is a little slow, so apparently we’re now part-time bartenders and part-time professional cleaners of anything and everything.

Come get a beer before our boss assigns us another project…and before they see this post 😅🍻

Real talk—Don't be discouraged by the barricades. You can still access EFB from the east (7 Highway side) and even get all the way to our parking lot by going around the partial barricades at 12th and Main for the time being. The construction crew promises to get the small section between 12th and the railroad tracks done as quickly as possible after they complete from 15th to the railroad tracks.

Just over a week to go now as we raced toward opening day.

On this day 8 years ago, the parking lot was being refinished, patio pavers were going in, signage and artwork were being finished, furniture was being assembled, beer was still being brewed, and about a hundred other projects were all happening at once.

The finish line was in sight, but there was still plenty of work to do.

Now, eight years later, we can't wait to celebrate how far we've come with all of you. See you next week as we celebrate with our 8th Anniversary Party! 🍻
