Well per usual Bristol wasn’t good to us racing wise but that always comes with a few lessons learned for the better but the memories that come along with Bristol are pretty hard to beat.🤍🖤❤️
It’s 73821926 days of being mentally, physically and emotionally drained but what hit me hard this week is how lucky we are for our kids get to experience something like this!🙌🏼
Yes, there are many frustrations that go along with putting on an event of this size but I mean when I stop to think about it, these kids get to use Thunder Valley Bristol Dragstrip in the middle/valley of the mountain as their backyard/playground for an entire week over the summer, every year, with friends they’ve made from all over the country/world! They truly have free rein (for the most part, we had to rein them in a few times🤪) to run, walk, play, ride, drive around the entire track and truly JUST BE KIDS!
The only time I could confidently tell you where my kids were when they were on the track racing or sleeping in the motorhome! So while racing wise, it didn’t end how we all hoped it would, my momma heart is FULL getting to seeing almost 600 juniors run together on the track and play together off the track! Memories that will last a lifetime🫶🏼 Thank you to Bristol Dragway and NHRA Jr. Drag Racing League for dealing with the craziness this week always bring!🙃
Although, the rain delays and time for my husband and his buddies time to brainstorm their new ideas may drain our bank account🤪
A major shout out to TEAM GAINESVILLE for everything you put into this week and all the prep and support throughout the week! 👻🎃
Until next time, Bristol…😎
