What a beautiful day it is to be alive! I wanted to give you all an update today on Landscapes for Life 🐸, a mission we’re building into Art Happens with the goal of using art to bring joy to people facing cancer.
We talked about this mission some this past spring, but once the murals kicked in, they became pretty all-consuming. As we move into October and the mural work starts to slow down, we are going to be putting more time and energy into moving Landscapes for Life forward.
The idea is simple. When someone commissions a Landscapes for Life painting, their commission covers two paintings. One is created for the customer, and a sister painting is created and gifted to someone facing cancer.
There are also select Landscapes for Life prints available on the website. When you purchase one of these prints, an identical print is gifted to someone going through cancer.
The mission is to bring a little joy through art to someone facing cancer. Something beautiful to hang on their wall and a reminder that they are thought of and cared about while they’re going through the fight.
This mission has been on my heart since my dad passed in 2022. We’re really just seeing where this goes and taking it one step at a time. There’s still a lot we want to learn and figure out as we build Landscapes for Life into something that can make a real difference.
Landscapes for Life is going to be a major part of what I’m doing going forward, and I’m excited to see where it takes us.
If you’d like more information, want to commission a Landscapes for Life piece, or are interested in getting involved in some way, send us a message through the Art Happens page. We’d be happy to talk with you.
Please help us share this mission and get the word out. We’re looking forward to bringing a little joy through art to people who are facing cancer. 💚
