Tenth Muse Dance

Show tonight (11/8)! Doors open at 6 pm show starts at 6:30 pm. At the Normal Community Activity Center!

With the growing need for access to food in all of our communities, Tenth Muse Dance is doing something different with our show this year.

We are doing a two prong effort to try and help our local communities:

1. We are asking those dancers that are able to do so, to bring an item (or more than one) that we can use to help stock the Little Free Pantries in Bloomington/Normal. Suggestions are: seasonings, spices, powdered milk, formula, paper products, and tampons or pads. In addition, there will be a discount at the door for anyone who brings a donation for the little free pantries. Each discount ticket will require a donation of at least one item.

2. We will again be doing the 50/50 raffle but this time the total collected will be split between the winner and a local foodbank (most foodbanks are asking for monetary donations right now as they can get bulk discounts on food.)

Note: Door tickets are $15 for adult, $13 for senior, veteran, student. Children 12 and under are free with accompanying adult.

Discounted tickets are $10 and $8 if you bring a non-perishable item for our free little pantry drive.

Hi friends and and followers! Our next big, exciting announcement is upon us. We have secured a new space for our classes.

We will be utilizing the studio space at Unum Fitness and Personal Training for our Beginner - Advanced classes. More details will be available in class postings.

While we've loved our time at Band of Brothers Martial Arts, this new space will allow us to grow out studio a but more and is a more traditional dance studio space. We will still likely have some rehearsals and other events at BoBMA, but we are excited for this next step. Want to express our immense gratitude for Band of Brothers Martial Arts, LLC for taking a chance on a tiny dance studio just starting out. Without you we likely wouldn't be where we are today. We know this friendship will continue even if things look a little different than they have for the last decade.

Hi Friends! Some exciting new things coming to Tenth Muse starting February 17th, the first of which is a new schedule! Here's the tentative schedule with classes beginning on February 17, 2025:

Mondays:
6 - 7:15 PM - Persephone's Circle Rehearsal/Troupe Technique
7:30 ‐ 8:45 ‐ Beginning Fusion Belly Dance (Technique and Choreography)

Wednesdays:
6:00 ‐ 7:15 ‐ Advanced Fusion Belly Dance Technique (by Instructor Approval Only)
7:15 ‐ 8:30 ‐ Intermediate Belly Dance (Technique and Choreography)

Second major change! We will be moving to a monthly recurring payment system based on Classes attended in a week. Example if you attend 1 session a week, let's say Beginners, you will pay $40 (plus a small processing fee for online payments) a month. This amount is inline with what the session pricing was in the past. If you attend 2 sessions per week, it will be $50 a month (plus a small processing fee) which actually ends up being more cost effective for you than our previous session pricing.
We will still offer the one class drop-in option of $15. With this chang we are trying to make it a bit easier to budget for our students and to simplify the accounting for our business. Please reach out with any questions.
