MotionArts Dance Academy is excited to be opening its doors August 2016! School owner and director Kristin Iovino is excited to offer quality dance education for children and adults in Bloomington and its surrounding communities. Kristin has over 20 years of experience teaching dance to children, teens and adults, as well as developing programming used in MCCSC's after school care program and othe

r teaching and performance outreach programs. MotionArts focus is on dance technique, safety, and fun! Whether you are looking for a serious program, or a fun class to take once a week, we have what you are looking for. Our beautiful building offers two spacious light filled studios, ample waiting space and dedicated on sight parking. We are also just 2 minutes from College Mall, so you are welcome to drop off your dancer, run your errands, and return for pickup at your convenience! Our dedicated space ensures your child's safety, and older dancers are always welcome to stay and hangout. We believe dance is an art form, not a sport, so we do not participate in competitions. Our focus is on technique and artistry! We offer student performance opportunities as well as a youth companies by audition.

Company Dancers perform lead roles in our productions and participate in outreach performances in the community. Classes for dancers ages 3- Adult. Dancers will also get a chance to perform in our Children’s Nutcracker December 12th at the Buskirk-Chumley Theater!
