Equal Play Comedy is going online!

We loved nothing more than to join you all in-person last year at our first ever Equal Play Comedy Mini-Fest. However, with the current state of the world, doing so safely will not be possible.

Buuuuut - we aren’t letting that stop us!

Equal Play Comedy 2020 will be transitioning into an online comedy competition! We invite all eligible participants to submit a one to five minute video of stand-up, improv, or sketch comedy on our website, which will be live and running tomorrow. Submissions will be accepted from October 5th until October 30th at 11:59PM EDT. After this date, submissions will be posted for the public to view and vote on, all culminating in a virtual showcase of comedy and awards on November 13th!

Tag a funny friend in the comments that YOU think should make a submission, and come back tomorrow to see our fancy new website!

BLACK LIVES MATTER!

The murder of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and countless other Black people at the hands of the police is disgusting, unacceptable, and far too common. The behavior of the President, the administration, the police, and countless governors across the country is despicable and inexcusable, and it is this behavior that has perpetuated racism in our country since its founding.

We at Equal Play Comedy have always had the mission to amplify the voices of those that have been underrepresented in comedy. Today and always, we believe that , we stand with those that are fighting for justice, and we support the protests happening across the country and around the world.
