Happy Independence Weekend, everyone! Take time to realize how blessed we are as a country, don't take for granted the many freedoms we have & the overabundance of resources that many in this world would see as a dream come true to possess, and remain humble knowing that at any moment something could happen to take away what has been built. But thank GOD for all of the heroic individuals (past, present, and future) who have sacrificed so that we may keep and protect our freedoms. Choose not to use those freedoms for hatred, strife, and division. Use our freedoms to do GOOD in the world, to LOVE, to bring PEACE & UNITY. Don't neglect to be aware of (& actually take ACTION to HELP) those in NEED around you.

To celebrate our independence, I challenge us to not be so DEPENDENT on our PHONES and other technology, and let's take time to be PRESENT with each other. Easier said than done in this culture where we live today, but imagine what your great grandparents and others deep within your heritage may have done. Take time to sit down with some of your great grandparents and grandparents to learn something from them, enjoy their stories, laugh with them. It will brighten your day! God Bless!
