The Shawnee Theatre is in the early stages of discussing what to do with this old Shawnee sign by the highway. It has not been used or functional in a number of years and it is beginning to look quite rough. We are asking the community for your opinion on what should happen to the old sign!

Take it down and throw it away?
Restore it and replace it where it stands?
Restore it and move it to the Lobby as decor?

We are now offering BOTH online audition submissions AND in person auditions.

In person auditions will be held September 12th, 2026 from 10am-3pm at The Shawnee Theatre!

Online submissions must be made not later than September 21, 2026 at 11:59PM.

The Shawnee Summer Theatre and the Bloomfield Chamber of Commerce invite you to join us for a Meet the School Board Candidate Night on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at 7:00PM at the Shawnee Theatre.

This is an opportunity for the community to hear from all Bloomfield School Board candidates directly and learn more about their priorities, ideas, and goals for the school.

The event will be made up of three parts: brief introductions by each candidate, reading of pre-submitted questions which each candidate will have the opportunity to answer, and finally live audience questions, again with each candidate having the opportunity to respond.

There will be light concessions available for the event.

Pre-submitted questions can either be sent to the Shawnee Theatre page or to [email protected]. We will ask as many questions as possible, but may not be able to ask all that we receive due to time restraints.

Any media outlets wishing to attend, please reach out by the same method to ensure any accommodations can be made if needed.

2027 Summer Season auditions information is HERE!!!

Scan the QR code or follow the link in the comments for more information about the shows, roles, and what to prepare and submit for auditions.

We are doing the first round of auditions for next year by video submission to allow people from all over to audition, with an in person callback later in the fall!

After weeks of teasing our other two shows, we simply could not wait another minute to announce our third and final show for the 2027 Summer Season…

We are so excited to bring The Wizard of Oz back to the Shawnee Theatre! This has been our single most requested show from the 2026 Season surveys, so we are looking forward to giving you all what you asked for!!

The Wizard of Oz will be our teen/kids camp show, however there are multiple roles that we will be filling with professionals, from both near and far, so PLEASE don’t hesitate to submit an audition regardless of your age!

Information on auditions to all three of our 2027 shows will be coming out VERY soon!
