➡️ Swipe through to read testimonials from participants (and their parents) about our annual collegiate dance audition and table talk!

We invite high school juniors and seniors to join us October 3+4, 2026 at Central City Dance in Canton, Michigan to audition for more than a dozen college dance programs in one convenient location. 📍

Thank you, Mid-Atlantic Dance Initiative, for having us as part of your festival!

We enjoyed sharing our artistry with our West Virginia audience, and inspiring the next generation of dancers while teaching festival classes.

On Sunday, during the School of Eisenhower Dance Detroit's Family Banquet, we recognized the accomplishments of our BridgEDD College Prep Program seniors.

Over the past two years, these students have been guided through the process of applying to (and auditioning for!) collegiate dance programs by Eisenhower Dance Detroit Artistic Director, Stephanie Pizzo, as well as our company dancers, teaching artists, and administrative staff.

We are honored to share these students have been accepted and committed to the following colleges:

Myra - University of North Carolina School of the Arts, BFA Ballet program

🟩 LAST CHANCE TO APPLY FOR OUR SEASON 36 CHOREOGRAPHER CALL - SUBMISSIONS DUE FRIDAY! 🟩

Eisenhower Dance Detroit (EDD) is seeking Detroit-native choreographers with experience in contemporary and commercial dance to create a new work set to a suite of Motown music for our professional company. The piece must include a dedicated section in which community dancers share the stage with Eisenhower Dance Detroit.

A $10,000 choreography honorarium will be awarded (Must provide own housing and travel.)

APPLICATION PROCESS & TIMELINE:
May 22, 2026: Choreography submissions due
June 12, 2026: Finalists announced
July 19, 2026 (Detroit): Community audition (finalists will be invited to attend, assist with the audition process, and teach their choreography to participating dancers)
July 25, 2026: Final choreographer selected

The selected choreographer will be in residence with EDD for three weeks in late winter/early spring 2027 to create the work. The premiere will take place at Music Hall Detroit in March of 2027.
