The Detroit Skating Club boasts a rich history and one of the strongest coaching staffs in the world. Over the past four years, DSC has produced over thirty-five medallists at the national, world and Olympic level of competition. Over 75% of the staff are either former international or world class skaters or have coaching experience at the national, international, world and Olympic level of compet

itive skating. There are figure skating programs for singles, dance, pairs, synchronized team skating, adult skating. There are also hockey programs, off ice training programs, and physical therapy. There are other special features including motown tango, summer skating school and camps and hockey clinics.

Highlights from our 2026 Spring Banquet! 💐

Emilia Nemirovsky - Doug Ramsey Award Winner! The Ramsey Award is DSC’s most coveted award trophy - awarded to Novice, Junior or Senior level skaters who are the highest placing participants from Nationals, Worlds or the Olympics.

Akari Okada - Johnny Johns Congeniality Award Winner! This award honors DSC legend Johnny Johns and is awarded to the skater that is helpful, considerate, thoughtful and courteous (voted on by DSC skaters/membership)

Caroline Margolis - Volunteer of the Year Award (not pictured) Demonstrates exceptional commitment, leadership, reliability and service to the DSC.
