There are many iconic houses on Block Island; this is definitely one of them. I’ve had this shot in the back of my mind for a long time, waiting for the right moment.

Something about tonight's moonrise felt special. Instinct told me it might line up just right. And it did. The moon rose perfectly behind the house, glowing in deep shades of orange and red. Sometimes, trusting that gut feeling pays off. 🌕🏠✨

"PERFECT SUNSET STORM OVER THE SACHEM POND AND NORTH LIGHT" - Block Island | August 12, 2024

In the coming days I will try to focus and make an effort to find some of my favorite experiences and highlights from the previous year that I was able to witness and capture on camera on Block Island and many other places. It was truly magical year for me and now when it's behind, as these moments are reflecting on me through the photographs I took, I'm appreciating them even more.
Every time I look at these experiences again, they genuinely bring me joy and enrich my life in a very special and distinctive way. Hope you get to enjoy them too and I'm wishing you an amazing year ahead!

Mackerel Sky over North Light (black & white)

This series of images, in my opinion look much better in BW.
Black and white gives photographs abstractive and minimalistic look. The clouds form repetitive, fish-scale patterns across the sky, arranged in wave-like rows. In black and white, the intricate cloud formations become more about texture and contrast than color, highlighting the delicate, almost ethereal feel of the scene. The tones are soft, yet high in contrast, emphasizing the difference between the light, almost silvery clouds and the deeper, darker spaces in between.
