This festival was created for the purpose of promoting and enhancing the brands of the many great distilleries throughout Texas. Along with promotion, we’re focused on educating whiskey enthusiasts on the many amazing whiskeys being produced in our great state. We believe that Texas has some of the best distilleries and whiskeys in the world, and the Texas Whiskey Festival is an opportunity to showcase that to everyone in attendance.

Yesterday officially kicked off a project I’ve been working on quietly for more than a year.

We’re wandering ambitiously into the unknown.

Not because this is a radically new idea. And not because we don’t have experience doing it. What makes this different is that we’re picking whiskies without an end flavor profile guiding our choices.

Different distilleries. Highly different flavors. No predetermined destination. No egos. Just in it together.

We’re going to see where the whiskey takes us.

Without a doubt, it was one of the best ways to spend a Monday: tasting fantastic whiskey with an even better group of people.

This one is a double oak finish, with the secondary barrel coming from Texas’ first cooperage — — using Texas oak. Cool to see more Texas whiskey projects pushing deeper into grain, barrel, and place.

Year 9 is in the books.

Thank you to everyone who came out to the 9th Annual Texas Whiskey Festival. What a night. We tasted incredible whiskey, reconnected with old friends, and made plenty of new ones along the way.

A little rain showed up, but it didn’t slow us down—if anything, it made the laughter a little louder and the exploration a little more memorable.

From the Pot vs. Column stills panel to the food, ci**rs, and dueling pianos… it all came together the way it should.

This thing only works because of you—distillers, partners, and every single person who walked through the gate.
Year 10 is already calling.

On March 21, we’ll be pouring at Texas Forever Fest during The Spirit of Texas Tasting at the ArtCentre of Plano.

Texas Forever Fest is a full day of live music, local vendors, and great food celebrating the culture and creativity of the Lone Star State. The festival itself is free to attend.

Inside the festival, whiskey lovers can step into The Spirit of Texas Tasting — where distilleries from across the state gather to share what they’re making.
