And the celebrations of America continue with That Paint & Pottery Place! 🎨🇺🇸🎨
Last night we had a sold out class at Smokey Row for these GORGEOUS “Sunset in Americas Heartland” pieces. Thank you SO much to everyone that came out and made this class such a hit! And WOW… did your paintings turn out beautiful!!! Great job everyone!!!

In fact, this class was such a hit that we had to create an encore class set for tomorrow on location at That Paint & Pottery Place too! So if you are loving this peice and want to create it too just let me know. We’ll be recreating this exact painting at 5 pm Saturday at the studio and we still have room if you want to jump in! I have a feeling it’s going to be just as amazing a class as last nights was! 🤩

Tuesday we started celebrating the 4th of July at Putnam County Arts Alliance with this cool Midwest Americana barn piece! Everyone had a great time and their prices turned out awesome! It was a more detailed piece (which means the difficulty was a tad higher) but all rose to the challenge…. Just look how awesome they all did! WTG everyone!!!

Next month we’ll be back to celebrate our nations 250th anniversary too with our classic ball jar canvas agin so if you are in the Centerville/Unionville MO area and want to come on out please save the date for Thursday July 9th. For the first time ever That Paint & Pottery Place led a paint class in Knoxville… and it was AWESOME! Soooo…How this came about is a bit of a story…

One of our regular attendee-artists: Glissman Karen expressed a desire to have me (Dora) travel to her town to lead a class. Well, unfortunately I didn’t have the down time to travel to Knoxville and try and find an establishment that may want to partner with us in bringing this to that area, so she took it upon herself to do it! She went around to various establishments chatting with owners to find a good fit. When someone expressed an interest then she would pass along my number to them (and their number to me) and we would chat. Unfortunately we hit a few dead ends. I wasn’t sure Knoxville paint classes were going to happen.

Then she chatted with Dani Klosterat Knoxville Apostolic Church! When she passed along her number and we chatted I knew this was the perfect fit! Her ladies group was definitely interested and the church was more than happy to host the event! Well…last week was it! And we had over 20 gals super excited to paint and they did such a fabulous job!!! It was so much fun they want to do it again! 🎨🤩🎨

Thank you SO much Karen, Dani and Knoxville Apostolic Church for such a fun evening! I can’t wait to join you again and continue to bring fun paint nights to the Knoxville area!

PS- if you are reading this and I don’t currently travel to your town/area then let’s chat… if we can open creative doors in Knoxville we can definitely open doors to more creativity in YOUR town too!

Yesterday was our yearly window painting class… and it was awesome!!! We had a full house of fun folks creating the coolest windows! From flowers and mushrooms to jellyfish to night moon scapes to sunsets and crosses they painted it all! Everyone did such a great job too!!! A huge “THANK YOU!” to everyone who braved the hot day (although it was nice and cool in the studio) to come out and paint the afternoon away! I loved all your windows!!!

I (Dora) typically host the window painting class classes only during the summer months, so if you are interested in creating your own wonderful window please keep us in mind as spring rolls around next year… till then thank you all for this fantastic one!!! It was truly a blast!!! 🎨🤩🎨

Tuesday evening we had our monthly “Sip & Paint” at our favorite Pella spot: The Wijn House!
We created these (very appropriate) summer “sipping at the beach” pieces which made us all wish we were ACTUALLY sipping a the beach… However since we couldn’t actually BE at the beach then this was definitely the next best thing! 😂

Thank you SO much to everyone who joined me at the beach… it was such a great evening and your paintings look amazing! 🎨🍷🌊

Last week we had a great group out at Full Bloom Brewhouse for our 2nd class out there!
Thank you SO much to everyone that came out for this fun evening! All of your paintings turned out so unique and beautiful! I love each persons different technique on their night sky… just gorgeous! 🌕✨ 🐺

These classes have been so well received we are just going to keep going throughout the summer…So if you are in the Oskey area and want to join us at this cool venue (with super yummy food and drinks) our next class there will be Thursday July 30th.
