We so excited to head back to Blackstock Station in Blackstock, SC Friday evening! And Saturday we’ll not only be hosting an all-day bluegrass jam and performing on the main stage at 12:40, but we’ve just been notified that we’ll also be leading the goat parade right down Main Street at the Dancing Goats FolkFest in Honea Path, SC.

This Friday night, April 10th, Brand New Box of Matches will be back at Blackstock. Call your friends and tell them to come and listen to a great bluegrass band. They usually come once a year to play for us. If you've never heard them, you will not be disappointed. Our house band will open for them, starting at 7pm.

The Blackstock Station Story

BLACKSTOCK STATION was originally built in the 1930’s as an all-wood gymnasium. Unlike the rest of the school’s buildings, it was spared the wrecking ball. Now, through the undying efforts of several volunteers, the building has become a proverbial museum of Americana and Bluegrass music. It’s a great place to spend a Friday evening, listening to the local talents of the Carolinas. For decades, this place has been a favorite among local musicians, families, and music lovers. The Friday format is generally a yummy covered dish meal, followed by open-mic performances of local musicians. Water, soft drinks, and coffee are available. Plenty of dancing space too! No admission charge, but donations are certainly appreciated!
