Math is a subject with a bad rap but our instructors and advisors are here to help you navigate required courses and perhaps discover a love for math.

Meet E. F***y Jasso-Hernandez, an advanced instructor and advisor in the Department of Mathematics. 🇲🇽 Born in Mexico City, she attended UNAM a public research university in Mexico.

I have many interests and love to learn new things. From math, Knot theory, and low dimensional topology, to finding ways to help my advisees better and making math more accessible to people, especially under-served students.

I am a first generation college student and I enjoy learning about my advisees goals and helping them to have a great college experience and plan a path towards those goals.

3 Fun Facts:
🦎 We have a leopard gecko as a pet and a cat.
🍿 I love going to movies (popcorn included), specially the ones that they show
🗣️ I speak Spanish, English and some French
