We will be hosting an online PC Tekken 7 and a PS4 GBVS bracket this Friday!
Tekken 7 will be at 6PM and GBVS at 9PM.

We are planning on running some sort of rotation between our main games on the two platforms, as well as sprinkling in other fan favorites in the coming weeks. Hopefully, we can keep everyone entertained and have some good matches in these dark times.

We will be hosting online tournaments on PS4 and PC. The format and rule sets will be mostly the same as our usual offline events. However, there will also be some rules in place to ensure that the matches are run smoothly.

First, we will be enforcing an internet speed minimum as well as a maximum ping limit to a central server. Additionally you must have a wired (Ethernet) internet connection.

We will require every entrant to provide a screenshot verifying this info, please DM it to #2020 on Discord or the VTFGC page on Facebook when you register for the bracket. Additionally for PS4 entrants we will require a picture of the test connection screen, you must have NAT type 1 or 2.

We will have a check-in time 15 minutes before the start of the tournament. If you don't check-in at that time you will be automatically dropped from the bracket.

You are also required to join our discord https://discord.gg/44z8BqP so you are able to communicate with the TOs. They will call matches by you in the tournament chat. You may be told to hold your match or play on stream. Please ensure that your name on Challonge and Discord are the same so that TOs are able to find you. If they
cannot contact you, you may be DQ'd.

You will have to DM your opponent to communicate in order to have your match. Make sure you are both ready to start.
After the match is completed both players must DM their TO and report the score. We highly recommend that you take a picture or screenshot of the results of the match in case there is a conflict. If you are found to have lied in reporting scores you may be banned.

We have come to the consensus that is in the best interest of our club and community as a whole to cancel weekly meetings for the for the next month and possibly a little longer. We didn't make this decision lightly but based on CDC, VT, and White House guidelines it would be unethical for us to continue to meet in the current situation. Unfortunately this means that Burst #3 is also postponed. Likely to take place in late April. We also advise everyone to cut back on large gatherings to play offline, I know netplay can suck but COVID-19 sucks worse.

That said, we are planning on hosting Netplay tournaments on PS4 and PC. Logistics are still being worked out but we want to stream and run commentary on them. So hopefully we will still have some good games to look forward to in the future. Everyone, stay safe and remember to wash your hands, stay at home, and take the throw.
