Dateline: Friday August 28. We now drop back to weekends only for the rest of the season, which runs at least to mid October. Playing August 28,29,& 30 we have "Odessey" Because of its long running time, it will be presented as a single feature., which is very rare for us to do. Note the earlier start tim of 8:05. Only two more days to take the kids to enjoy popcorn and other goodies while watching Paw Patrol: The Dino Movie and that is Wednesday and Thursday August 26th and 27th. Then on Friday we drop back to weekends only for the rest of the season, which runs at least to mid October. We have The Odyssey booked for this weekend. This summer seems so short, the kids go back to school soon, the days are growing shorter and the drive-in season will start winding down. We will be open weekends, well into October.
This week we finish up the last kids show of the summer. (See the attached gfraphic!) So bring the family to enjoy a couple movies, great tasting popcorn, and other delicious treats! Advance sale tickets are available at BlackRiverDriveIn.com

Paw Patrol ,this summer's last kids movie continues this weekend, but we are pulling Spider-man and replacing it with Minions and Monsters. Then on August 28th we drop back to just weekends with The Odessey, which is about 3 hours long and will be a single feature. Starting Friday the 14th, we start the last kids feature for the summer of 2026, the new Paw Patrol movie! We will be keeping Spider-man as the co-feature this week. See the attached graphic.

Dateline: Tuesday August 11

Here is the scoop of what is booked at this time. Spiderman and Backrooms play this Wednesday and Thursday Aug. 12 & 13, the new Paw Patrol starts Fri the 14. Paw Patrol will play infront of Spider-man for Fr,Sa,Su, We, & Th. Then on Friday Paw Patrol will pair with something else, we don't know what yet. ( It may be a Paramount retro movie- we are open to suggestions, but it has to be from Paramount) Then on Fri Aug 28 we have Odessey for Fr, Sa, & Sun Aug 28-30. Odessey is a very long move, it will not have a co-feature.A Single Feature not our usual Double Feature. (A rare ocassion for us)

Sunday August 9: Once again it is Sunday and tonight's show will be presented in open caption for our hearing impaired patrons. For those of you not familiar with open caption, the captions are put on the screen without being in that annoying black box that closed caption on t-v uses. Some times the captions even move around the screen to stay out of the action. Tickets are on sale now at BlackRiverDriveIn.com , or you can get your tickets at the box office when you arrive.

Dateline: Friday August 7 --- Tonight starts the 2nd week of the Spider-man engagement. We took out Breadwinner and brought in Backrooms, that is horror movie rated R. See the attached graphic.
We are working with the movie studios on Paw Patrol and Odyssey as we speak. I will post when we know more.

Dateline: Sunday August 2 - The weather could not have been better last night, it was a great night to watch Spider-man. Sadly the weather forecast is not so good for tonight. But our laser projector will get the light all the way to the screen with little effort! ........ Yes, We will be open even if it should rain!
Don't forget, tonight is also open caption night for our hearing impaired patrons!

Dateline: Saturday August 1 - The weather is going to be great again tonight. Remember we are not playing previews or selected short subjects tonight, so the Spider-man feature is on screen sooner. Get here early for the best parking. We also ran out of loaner radios last night. If you plan to sit outside you car you may want to bring your own portable radio or boombox to be on the safe side.
