Let the summer begin!!! We are opening the new Toy Story 5 Movie a day early, Thursday June 18. See the attached graphic. We expect a great turnout for this show, so we recommend you arrive early to get the best parking spots! Please take a moment, go to our website (BlackRiverDriveIn.com) and check out the parking rules and rules of conduct before you arrive. (also check out our menu and poke around for lost more information about us)
If you are over 18 or even retired, and wish to make some extra money, consider filling out an employment application for the Black River Drive In. An online application is poste3d on our web page. We have a few employees leaving for college, while we hate to see them leave, we wish them the very best going forward!

Dateline: Saurday June 13. The Flea Market is going on right now at the Black River Drive In until 3:00 PM Tonight starting at 9:05 we have Scary Movie folowed by Obsession. (See attached graphic)
On June 18th we will be opening the new Toy Story 5. Yes, it will open on Thursday. We are expecting a large turnout for the Toy Story engagement, so get here early for the best parking spots..... let me say that again: Get here early!
Sadly, a few of our employees will be moving on for college and such. We wish them the very best of luck! We now need to hire a few new employees, so we can train them before they go. Thus our online employment application is available at BlackRiverDrive-In.com if you are interested in working at the Drive-In.

Lots of good stuff is happening!
We are having another flea market on Saturday June 13th from 10 AM till 3 PM. This week's movies are "Scary Movie" and "Obsession" (See the graphic) Then on Thursday the 18th we expect to have an early opening of Disney's new Toy Story Movie. If the weather holds that will be a big one. Finally, on starting Friday June 26th, we will be open 5 Days/Week - Fri, Sat, Su, Wed, & Thurs. until Labor Day weekend. It is starting to melt! Hurray! Caught the big snow overhang in the midst of it's fall. (See today's picture).
My data on food and candy pricing is pretty much done. Food prices are reasonably stable, the non chocolate candy is also reasonably stable. But chocolate candy has gone through the roof. After a little research, I found the big reason for this is that there is a world wide shortage of cacao due to a real bad growing season. I am going to limit the supply of chocolate candy to bring in this season as I believe the folks will opt to bypass the chocolate treats for other stuff.

The new Mario movie debuts on April 3, If the weather makes a substantial turn around and we can open early, we will go for it. (see the snow in today's picture that we need to melt) Although not likely to happen, you never know with the weather in the North Country, it could!
I have been working on the menu and ticket pricing for this year, I can tell you, the ticket prices will not increase. I am still gathering data on food and candy pricing.
It is our goal to make Black River Drive-In the Best Place To Watch Movies, and keep it a great and affordable night out!
