Job Description:

Team Members assist in collecting, sorting, and counting cash, in various casinos in the Black Hawk and Central City area in Colorado. You will be interacting with other team members, casino staff, slot machines, heavy metal boxes, and money counting machines. This can be a very physical job; reasonable accommodations will be made.

Team Members must be able to obtain a Colorado Gaming license and comply with all Colorado Division Gaming regulations, casino, and other applicable municipal, state, and federal laws, rules and regulations.

Applicants must maintain good public relations, casino privacy policy, comply with Internal Control Policies and Procedures regarding safety and security.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collect, sort, and count, large sums of cash accurately and safely.

• Transfer money from the gaming floor to the count room.

• Team Members must Complete required forms for both Colorado Division of Gaming and Casinos according to rules and regulations and internal controls.

• Operate and maintain cash counting machines as directed.

• Seek and receives technical direction, training, and guidance from the Count Team Lead, Supervisor and Manager. Must be a team player.

• Wear and maintains regulation uniforms properly to include gaming badge, name tag and face masks while on gaming property at all times.

• All Count Team Members maintain a clean and safe work environment. Cleaning procedures have doubled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

• Performs other job-related duties as directed.

Qualifications

Previous drop and count experience a plus, but not required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Graduation from High School or equivalent preferred. No previous experience required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions in English. Clearly communicate with other team members and understand chain of command within the company/casino.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Basic math skills required. Ability to count large sums of money accurately, with checks and balances. Calculators are provided.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must be able to obtain a Colorado Gaming Badge.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Essential duties involve performing physical exertion which include:

Frequent brisk walking, climbing stairs, kneeling, stooping, bending, stretching, twisting, reaching, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods of time. Lifting requirements up to 50 lbs. from floor to chest height, on a frequent basis. Being able to occasionally push or pull, with mandatory assistance, a cart weighing up to over 400lbs.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Essential duties involve working closely with other Drop and Count Team Members in a small, noisy, enclosed environment. Work areas tend to be warm due to physical exertion and heat from equipment.

REQUIRED SAFETY EQUIPMENT

Due to COVID-19 pandemic all employees are required to wear a mask at all times while on gaming property. All team members must be able to wear a mask while preforming all duties of the team member. For the safety of all team members due to the close work environments, there will be no exceptions to this rule as per the Colorado Division of Gaming.

Pay: Starting wage $17.00 per hour

HOURS
Hours range anywhere from 12am to 8am start times depending on which casino and shift you are working.
