I just wanted to say one final thing before posting on this page is done. I wanted to share two things I've realized in the past two days since the event.
1. God is truly Good, and His hand was in everything.
If I just looked back at the day of the event there would have been enough evidence of that in just that one day. Just from how smoothly everything went, how God gave me a peace to go and talk in front of roughly 250 people when I'm terrified to speak in front of 10, to just feeling God's presence as we worshiped Him, but God didn't stop there, he showed me His presence in everything for the past 6 months of putting this together. God showed up in so many moments during the past 6 months, it seemed like when something was falling apart or going wrong, if we put it in God's hands He would work it out in a way that would be only from Him. Like when every date fell through and we just put it is Gods hand, He let everyone choose the exact same date on the exact same day (with out anyone knowing each others schedules). When all the sponsors we thought were guarantees fell through he opened doors to business I would have never thought of. He surpassed all of our goals money wise, he saved us in so many small moments, and he gave me a knowledge of what to do and when, when I went into this knowing nothing. I saw God work in so many moments and I heard from many people that they could feel God's presence that night. So I just wanted to say all this was God, I couldn't have done any of it with out Him. He placed this on my heart, He lead me through ever decision made, He opened the doors, I just followed where he was leading.
If you feel God is leading you to do something, even something that seems impossible and out of your wildest dreams, don't be afraid to take a leap of faith. Don't force it, God will open and God will shut the doors he wants, just be faithful and ready to walk were God leads you. Remember even if you think "God could never use me to do that" all through out history and the bible God used the weak to do something mighty like: Moses, David, Esther, Mary, and Gideon. Walk in faith and don't forget to give God the glory for it. None of the event would have been possible if it wasn't for God leading me through every decision of every day.
2. This isn't the end of the story.
If I can be honest the last two days have had a few tears in it. Mostly because the past 6 months of my life have been rapped up and almost revolved around preparation for the event, then the day came and it was amazing, but the day ended and it's just suddenly, done.
But looking back I've seen how I've grown from this, I've seen how God has taught me things I never would have learned if not for this, and because of that I know God has something special in store. I know God is going to use this down the road. Right now I don't know how and I don't know when but I'm just going to keep walking in faith and God will show me when the time is right. I know this isn't the end of the story, and although I'm still a little sad that it's over, I'm also excited to see what God has in store for me in the future. (Please keep me in your prayers as I let the Lord lead me and wait to see how God continues my story).
Sincerely,
Alyssa Steckler.
