Woke at 3 am. Neighbors holiday splashing in their pool. No biggy. I'm an early riser. Made coffee (French Vanilla decaf) and started working on a kitchen organizing project. THIS has got to GO! Not the case, I have plans for it, but the clutter, yes, be GONE. And yes, this is a retail display case. Don't ask. Never ask, just go with it. Remember, my motto is Sort, Keep, Toss, RELIEF. Cucumber, tomato, sweet red & orange peppers, broccoli, mandarin lime dressing, parm cheese served on toasted onion bagel. For beakfast, lunch or dinner!

Promoting my business: The Helper

One of my services is cooking for clients in their home. No, I'm not a chef but I have cooked and catered professionally for, I hate to drop names, Bob Dylan, Joan Jett, Lyle Lovett, White Snake, REO Speedwagon, Peter, Paul and Mary, etc, etc. I planned, prepared, delivered, set and served backstage at the Adler Theatre in Davenport Ia. With a LOT of help from a great, hardworking bunch of people. We were HyVee. Side note trivia: I hear Wahlberger's has partnered with HyVee and that is fantastic.
I learned to cook from my mother with food from our Angus cattle farm in Iowa. More on that later.
Making raw, fresh salads is my favorite, along with dressings to compliment said salads.
I'm now teaching myself to cook with Caribbean flair. Christmas Eve dinner at my house includes Pernil-Puerto Rican Pork Roast. Just bought my Adobo at Delma's Meat and Fish Market in downtown N Miami. It's only a 5 block walk. ❤ Wish me luck!

The Helper: Another painting project. Small, DARK hallway with 3 doors. It was a much needed update. The old green paint had to GO! This Ultra Pure White color by Behr brightened, lightened and gave much needed energy to this space. The mirror color is Charismatic Sky Blue, also by Behr. Both are Premium Plus, semi-gloss. Magical transformation.

AFTER: Scraping, Washing, Applying Behr Premium Plus, Semi-Gloss with the color Key Largo, a new life has been given. One more coat to go. Stay tuned for the finish!
