POV: You love original art… but you also want to see the messy middle that got it there. 🌸

For so long, I thought practice was a bad thing.

I’d think, Taylor, you’re a nurse. Just have fun and paint what you love.

But the truth? It takes time to find your style. To figure out what makes your art special. To paint the ugly ones before you get to the “YES, THIS IS IT” ones.

And honestly? That’s part of the magic.

So I’m learning to stop taking myself so seriously and just have fun along the way.

Because every practice piece, every “well…that didn’t work” moment, and every happy accident is part of the story behind the art hanging on your walls.

I don’t think I’ll ever be able to fully put into words what my husband means to me. 🤍

This weekend, he sacrificed his entire weekend (and then some) to help me chase a dream that started long before there was an Art Walk, a booth, or paintings hanging on easels.

He assembled the easel. Built every shelf. Set up in the rain. Tore down in the rain. Carried, lifted, fixed, encouraged, and somehow kept a smile on his face through all of it.

But what gets me the most is that he never made me feel like my dream was too much.

He has always supported my crazy ideas, believed in me when I didn’t believe in myself, and celebrated every little win like it was his own.

And then, in the middle of everything, I looked over and saw that he had written on my easel:

“Love, your biggest fan.”

And that pretty much sums him up. 🥹

He is an incredible husband, an amazing father, and the person who cheers the loudest when I’m brave enough to chase something that scares me.

Nobody celebrates with me harder than he does.

I’m so grateful that God gave me someone who doesn’t just love me—he loves the dreams inside of me, too.

I couldn’t do this without him. And honestly, I wouldn’t want to. ❤️
