Sound of Birmingham just recently mastered a new CD project for the Holladay Sisters entitled “Back-Up Front”. Just who are the Holladay Sisters you might ask? Ginger and Mary Holladay have sung back up vocals on more hit records than I have time to tell you about. They sang back up vocals on many of Elvis Presley's records including Suspicious Minds, In the Ghetto, Burning Love and Kentucky Rain, to name just a few. They sang back ground vocals on many other artists recordings including B.J. Thomas, Dave Loggins, Dionne Warwick, Ella Washington, Linda Ronstadt, Neil Diamond, Willie Nelson, Percy Sledge, Sonny and Cher, and The Box Tops. The list goes on and on! On their CD “Back-Up Front” they are not only singing the back up vocals but the lead vocals as well. They have re-created many of their favorite songs they originally sang on.
