This week at Faraway!

🌞 We're continuing with our special summer time slots for Tuesday night Drop-In and Jam before classes start back in a couple of weeks! Join us for a one hour, $10 improv class on Tuesday at 6 PM, then stick around for the FREE student jam to play with other improvisors on the Faraway stage at 7!

🌞 Classes start back the week of July 6! Our intro level classes include improv, stand up, AND sketch! There's a place for you at Faraway Theater, Birmingham's homegrown space for comedy arts.

🌞 Trying improv for the first time or just wanting to keep those funny bones in tip-top shape? Come to our 1-hour, low-commitment, $10 Drop-In class! Tuesdays in June at a special summer 6pm time slot!

Introducing our Summer/Fall 2026 Faraway House Teams!

🦷 Returning in full is CRUNCH, already beloved and ready to take BITE out of another hilarious House Night season.

🫎 And please welcome to the stage TWO BRAND NEW TEAMS known currently as Rocky and Bullwinkle!

🏠 Each season, students who have graduated Faraway's core curriculum and moved on to Advanced Studies are eligible to audition for our House Teams. We have so many talented performers in our community, and we are over the moon to welcome these new players to House Night!

🏠 Starting in July, these teams will be performing WEEKLY on Thursdays at 7pm.

CRUNCH, cuss!, and Huey will take the stage one last time as Faraway House Teams this Thursday at 7pm in the House Night GRAND FINALE. We've had an incredible season with these teams, and we want to send them off with uproarious laughter and cheers, so come pack the house and help us make it a night we'll never forget!

Our students have been working hard all semester and now you get to see it pay off! To accommodate for all of the extra programming our schedule looks a little different than usual, so keep an eye out for what to expect! 👀

🌼 SCHEDULE UPDATE: Drop-in Is Monday this week. Never tried improv before? No problem! Get out of your house and out of your head at our 1-hour drop-in class.
🌸 Hop into the jam this Monday. You and fellow students of improv get the chance to rack up some reps performing long form improv on the Faraway stage. This is your last chance to get some reps before your showcase so don’t miss it!
🌼 We have improv showcases from 101, 201, 301, 401, 501, and Advanced Study students all week. Plus don’t miss our stand-up showcase!
🌸 Check out House Night, this week ALL THREE TEAMS perform. Catch some long form improv from teams made up of Faraway students.
🌸 Watch an improvised story unfold with our Spokane Advanced Study Student Showcase. Check it out right after House Night.
🌼 Faraway Faculty perform weekly in our Friday night late slot. Every Friday you can get your long form improv fix with Teachers’ Lounge. This week to cap off Performance Week, Teacher’s Lounge will also include a student jam!

🌸 Hop into the jam Monday and Tuesday after class. You and fellow students of improv get the chance to rack up some reps performing long form improv on the Faraway stage.
🌸 Never tried improv before? No problem! Get out of your house and out of your head at our 1-hour drop-in class.
🌸 Try a new comedic idea at Kill Your Ego. A comedy variety show where you can expect to see characters, improv, sketch, standup, and more!
🌸 Check out House Night, this week with Huey, and CRUNCH. Long form improv from teams made up of Faraway alum.
🌸 It’s Spokane, not Spokane at the Spokane Advanced Study Student Showcase. Check it out right after House Night.
🌼 Put your grown-up pants on this Friday to come watch Jacob & Michael Get Serious. A new 2-person long form improv comedy show about really serious stuff.
🌸 Faraway Faculty perform weekly in our Friday night late slot. Every Friday you can get your long form improv fix with Teachers’ Lounge. Try our new Friday bundle and see both Friday shows for just $12.
🌼 The very first Faraway Flea is this Saturday. Enjoy Birmingham local vendors including some from our own community of creatives!
🌼 Someone get some napkins because we are spilling ALL of the tea at The Reunion Episode - an improvised reality tv reunion. Another brand new long form improv show directed by Stephen Mann.
🌸 Back by popular demand Faraway presents Stand-prov. 4 comedians perform standup for the first half and then close out the show with long form improv based on each other’s material.
