Hannah Miller writes dark and soothing music that in the words of one perceptive listener “gives you half a feeling of happiness and half of loneliness”.

Her dark, ambient style has been heard on shows such as This Is Us, Virgin River, Station 19, Sons of Anarchy, The Following, Nancy Drew and Pretty Little Liars as well as in several indie films and national advertising campaigns for companies like Pitney Bowes and DSW. She recently finished a couple of tours as support for the folk duo The Secret Sisters and released her 3rd full length record on boutique label Sorted Noise.

Hannah will be performing this FRIDAY NIGHT at Sloan's on 2nd Avenue North in their beautiful new upstairs event space. The COPPER ROOM is a perfect setting for an intimate listening room experience. $25 at the door with all proceeds going to the artist. Come and immerse yourself in LIVE MUSIC!

Sloan's will have food and drinks and Hannah will provide the entertainment.

Doors Open at 6 PM fir those with reservations and 6:30 for Walk Up; Show at 7 PM. Limited Capacity of 40 for this intimate night of music so come early as this will be a sold out show!

Hannah Miller was our first Artist for The Patterson Loft Concert Series way back in 2018. As a matter of fact, she is the reason we exist!

We had recently left the suburbs and moved into our storefront loft downtown. We had met Hannah years before and had followed her career. She had a new album and was putting together a tour to support it. She was looking for a Listening Room venue in Birmingham. When I told her there were none, she asked, "Do you know anyone that hosts House Concerts?"

I had to confess that I didn't know what she meant. After hearing about house concerts, we agreed to host Hannah in our new loft. We gathered that night with a couple of dozen of our new downtown neighbors for a magical night of live music.

Almost a decade and more the 50 shows later, here we are. Hannah is coming back to help us a launch a new partnership with Sloan's Bar. Their beautiful new event space upstairs, The Copper Room, is the perfect setting for an intimate gathering to enjoy music, friends, drink and food.

It will be a very special evening. Invitations go out September 10 if you're on our mail list. If you're not and would like to be, shoot me a message and join the fun. Different venue but still Where Music Brings Friends Together.

Sam Robbins
Sam Robbins is one of our most beloved Artists at Patterson Loft. This will be his 5th Appearance! If you have missed him in the past, respond quickly when the invitations go out because this show will sell out quickly!

Sam Robbins is often described as an "old soul singer songwriter." A New England based, nationally touring musician whose music evokes classic singer songwriters like James Taylor and Jackson Browne, Sam adds a modern, upbeat edge to the storyteller troubadour persona. An avid performer, he has gained recognition from extensive national touring, from sharing the stage with artists like Jason Mraz and David Wilcox, and as a main stage performer at national festivals like the Kerrville, Falcon Ridge and Philadelphia Folk Festivals.
Touring with a new acclaimed album, “So Much I Still Don’t See”, named one of Atwood Magazine’s 2025 “Artists to Watch”, leading songwriting workshops and exciting performances across the country, Sam Robbins has gained a reputation as one of the brightest rising stars in the national folk music community.

Sam Robbins’ third album So Much I Still Don’t See is a testament to a singer songwriter’s journey through his 20’s, through his formative years of 45,000 miles per year touring and the beginning of a troubadour’s career. Most of all, it is the culmination of firsthand experiences gathered through hard travel and big adventures.

I’ve stared at this screen for way too long trying to figure out what to say.

The truth is… I don’t have some brilliant marketing angle left.

I just have my heart.

In less than 60 hours, this Kickstarter comes to an end. It’s all or nothing. If we don’t reach the goal, none of it happens.

I’ve spent the last few years rebuilding my life from the ground up. Somewhere along the way, music became something I poured into quietly instead of sharing with the world. Launching this campaign has been one of the scariest things I’ve done because it meant believing there might still be room for my voice after everything.

Every pledge has felt like someone saying, “Keep going. We still want to hear what you have to say.”

We’re so close… close enough that I can almost see the finish line, but still far enough that we need every single person who’s been thinking, “I’ll do it later.”

If my music has ever meant something to you…If one of my songs has ever met you in a moment when you needed it…If you’ve been cheering me on from the sidelines…Or if you’ve simply been waiting to jump in…

Now is the time.

Not tomorrow. Not after work. Not when you remember.

Right now.

Whether it’s a $25 pledge, sharing this post, or texting one friend who might connect with this music, every single action matters more than you know.

Thank you for believing in me. Thank you for believing that independent artists still deserve to make art in a world that often makes it feel impossible.

Let’s cross this finish line together. ❤️
