“Let us strive for that which is honorable, beautiful and highest.” The motto of Kappa Delta!

I could never have imagined the words imprinted on my heart a million years ago as a “pledge” (now called new members) at Florida State would translate to something made for another KD chapter. What a treat to create this piece for the new house at Samford University! This has been a sweet season helping launch this chapter and invest in the girls and their growth serving on the Chapter Advisory Board. Now to have my work hang in this special home is full circle! Hopefully it can help inspire and encourage those who see! Can’t wait to see the study room accessorized with wall sconces and decor next semester.

The Lord is so good. A year ago this sweet friend started a new position with an amazing non profit. While sitting in our living room for Bible study, she described her office and what she envisioned. Well. I happened to have a piece recently created that described what she wanted. She took this 48x48 home that night! 7 months later it’s an honor and joy to serve her new work home! Family Connection Inc. “supports youth who need emergency shelter, have or are considering running away, are unhoused, are experiencing family disruption, or are in need of crisis intervention or counseling.” Today we prepped a wall for a new mural while Mark and the rest of the team took care of the grounds and other needs. Grateful for and serve day brining us all together to love and serve intentionally! And…why don’t we ever take pics before and not after! 🤷🏻‍♀️
