Biloxi Little Theatre

Biloxi Little Theatre BLT has been presenting quality live theatre to the Coast community since 1946! Parts of the building date to the 1890s.
(249)

Founded in 1946, Biloxi Little Theatre is proud to have been bringing quality, affordable entertainment to the Mississippi Gulf Coast for over 70 years! Located in east Biloxi, the playhouse is housed in a historic building at 220 Lee Street, south of the Biloxi Kroc Center and north of the Deer Island cut. Amenities include handicapped parking and accessibility, dual air conditioning and heating,

and lighted and patrolled parking areas. We work hard to make Biloxi Little Theatre uncommon. We produce plays that other local theatres won’t. We don’t edit our plays for content, and we offer a wide array of material. We work hard to keep our prices reasonable. We also offer season tickets at various levels, program advertising, and production sponsorship.

***ARTIST SPOTLIGHT***

BROOKE ASHTON (Vicki) is probably best known as the girl wearing nothing but ‘good, honest, natural froth’ in the Hauptbahnhofbrau lager commercial. Her television appearance is range from Girl at Infants’ School in On the Zebras to Girl in Massage Parlor in On Probation. Cinemagoers saw her in The Girl in Room 14, where she played the Girl in Room 312.

At Biloxi Little Theatre, NOISES OFF serves up a riotous backstage scramble as the cast of the not-so-great Nothing On tries to keep the show together. Doors slam, cues vanish, and egos collide in a fast-paced farce where the real entertainment is the complete disaster unfolding behind the scenes. It’s a laugh-out-loud evening of theatrical chaos, mistaken intentions, and sardines! DON’T PANIC!!! Noises Off, June 5-7 & 12-14, get your tickets now at 4blt.org!

GARRY LEJEUNE (Roger Tramplemain) while still at drama school won the coveted Laetitia Daintyman Medal for Violence. His television work includes Police!, Crime Squad, Swat, Forensic, and The Nick, he is probably best known as ‘Cornetto’, the ice cream salesman who stirs the hearts of all the lollipop ladies in On the Zebras.

We're starting to get slightly weirded out - why do all of these obscure British performers look just like our local thespians? Garry must share some DNA with local acting legend Mark Williams! You already know that at Biloxi Little Theatre, we have a rather... loose pants policy.

But even by our standards, this may be taking things a bit too far.

Join Frederick Fellowes and the cast of *NOISES OFF* as they attempt to survive missed cues, flying sardines, backstage drama, and at least one catastrophic wardrobe malfunction.

👖 Pants optional.
😂 Laughter mandatory.

***ARTIST SPOTLIGHT***

BELINDA BLAIR (Flavia Brent) has been on the stage since the age of four, when she made her debut in Sinbad the Sailor at the old Croydon Hippodrome as one of Miss Toni Tanner’s Ten Tapping Tots. She subsequently danced her way around this country, South Africa, and the Far East in shows like Zippedy-Dooda! and Here Come les Girls! More recently, she has been seen in such comedy hits as Don’t Mr. Duddle!, Who’s Been Sleeping in My Bed? and Twice Two Is S*x. She is married to scriptwriter Terry Wough, who has contributed lead-in material to most of TV’s chat shows. They have two sons and three retrievers. We're perplexed at how members of this British acting troupe look like local performers. Ms. Blair seems to mirror Gulf Coast thespian Maureen Flynn!

***ARTIST SPOTLIGHT***

Tim Allgood (Stage Manager) took the job on Nothing On mostly because he needed steady work after bouncing between technical gigs, warehouse jobs, and a miserable stretch doing AV setup for corporate conferences and hotel banquet rooms. He has absolutely no patience for theatre people and their constant “artistic emergencies,” viewing the entire production as a daily exercise in babysitting grown adults who can’t remember their props or entrances. Permanently tired, sarcastic, and mildly annoyed by nearly everyone around him, Tim survives each performance through caffeine, dark humor, and pure stubbornness.

Another shocker - Tim Allgood could be the twin of performer Johnny Boyles. What a coincidence! Presenting a manic menagerie of itinerant actors rehearsing a flop called Nothing's On, this hilarious and high-energy "bedroom farce" play-within-a-play features mistaken identities, physical gags, romantic liaisons, boxes, burglars, slamming doors, forgotten lines and of course . . . SARDINES. Starring: Kathe Newcomb, Sean Maurer, Mark Williams, Kimberly Maurer, Susan Sanborn, Lance Benezech, Jr., Maureen Flynn, Johnny Boyles & Art Bailey, Jr.

***ARTIST SPOTLIGHT***

DOTTY OTLEY (Mrs. Clackett) makes a welcome return to the stage to create the role of Mrs. Clackett after playing Mrs. Hackett, Britain’s most famous lollipop lady (‘Ooh. I can’t ‘ardly ‘old me lolly up!) in over 320 episodes of TV’s On the Zebras. Her many stage appearances include her critically acclaimed portrayal of Fru Sackett, the comic star in Strindberg’s Scenes from the Charnelhouse. Her first appearance ever? In a school production of Henry IV Part I - as the old bag lady, Mrs. Duckett.

This is quite strange! Ms. Otley is a doppelganger for renowned local actress Kathe Newcomb!
