Happy Thursday, you guys!

If you’ve been around High Tide for any length of time, you’ve probably learned that the tides are always moving. Sometimes gently and sometimes all at once. And right now, we’re stepping into one of those seasons of change. One of our peeps has decided to close her High Tide chapter and we genuinely and wholeheartedly wish her the absolute best on her next journey!

The good news? We hit the jackpot with the people joining our team.

After working Thursdays for quite some time, I’ve decided to hand over the reins so I can devote more time and energy to my breathwork business, Sonder Breath. While I’ll still be around, because I love you guys, Thursdays now belong to the very lovely, Jodi.

If you haven’t met her yet, make it a point to stop in and say hello. She’s kind, grounded, easy to talk to, and has one of those calming presences that makes everyone feel welcome and at ease. The world could use more Jodis, if you ask me.

Saturdays will be in the very capable hands of Autumn. She brings enough personality to power a small city and enough heart to make you feel like an old friend. She’s quick with a smile, loves people, and fits right in with the High Tide family.

And beginning next week, Julia will be taking over Fridays and Sundays. She is warm, genuine, and effortlessly bright and bubbly. She leaves every conversation and room a little better than she found it. One customer said we look like sisters and trust me I took that as a huge compliment!

As a business owner, one of the most rewarding parts of this journey has been watching great people find their way through our doors. Skills can be taught. Genuine kindness, integrity, and character cannot. These women bring all three.

And in a development that nobody had on their 2026 bingo card…For the first time in years, the women officially outnumber the men at High Tide yet again.

Mikey, Joe, and Scott have been informed and counseling is available to them upon request.

In all seriousness, thank you for continuing to support us through every season. Businesses grow, teams evolve, and chapters change, but the heart of High Tide has always been the people, both behind the bar and sitting on the other side of it.

Oh, and keep your eyes out for some match play opportunities! I want to bring in some friendly faces to meet the new girls. ❤️

Happy Thursday, you guys! I unearthed these photos from 2013 when High Tide was still Maui Nites, and let me just say: the place has undergone a rather impressive evolutionary process. Thought you’d enjoy some before and afters.

Back then, there were more walls, less light, and a floor plan that could generously be described as compartmentalized.

In 2021, we embarked on a remodel and removed a wall, opening the space into one large bar and casino. (And by we, I mean trained professionals wielding power tools while I contributed valuable things like opinions…and sometimes snacks.)

Looking at these photos reminds me how much can change over a decade. Businesses, like people, are never really finished products. They evolve. They adapt. They shed a few unnecessary walls and become something more expansive.

Today, High Tide feels brighter, more connected, and a little more polished while somehow still maintaining its dive-bar soul. It’s a contradiction I can’t fully explain, but we’ve managed to become what I lovingly refer to as a boujie dive bar.

If you haven’t stopped in for a while, consider this your invitation. And for those of you who’ve been with us since the Maui Nites days, thank you. Watching this little business evolve over the last thirteen years has been one of the greatest (and most cortisol enhancing) adventures of my life.

Are we loving this weather or what?! Montana finally remembered she’s absolutely gorgeous and decided to show off a little. ☀️

I’m back from my incredible training in San Diego where I experienced one of the most expansive, healing, and genuinely beautiful weekends of my life. And yes… I even got to play in the ocean. The high tide, if you will. 😉

I came home feeling lighter, clearer, deeply inspired, and overwhelmingly grateful for the experience, for this life, and for all the beautiful humans I get to share it with.

I am working a shift today, and honestly I’m super excited to see some familiar faces. There’s something really special about coming home after a deeply expansive trip and realizing just how much gratitude you have for your own community.

I came back harboring this whole new level of appreciation for our customers. Like deep, embodied, soul-level gratitude. Not the generic “thanks for your business” kind either….the real kind where you exhale, pause, and realize there are casinos all over this town and yet day after day you choose ours. And that means more to us than you probably realize.

This place has never just been about machines or drinks to me. It’s the people. The conversations and the laughs across the bar. The regulars who feel like family at this point and the way so many of you have supported us consistently through every season.

So if you’re out enjoying this absolutely perfect weather today, swing by and say hi. I’d love nothing more than to hug your neck, hear what’s new in your world, and remind you how appreciated you truly are. I’ve even got a few $20 match play chips for the first five people who swing in. ❤️

Happy Thursday, everyone!

I’m currently sitting on my hotel patio in San Diego with a cup of coffee in hand, ocean air in my lungs, and the rare kind of peace that only comes when you know things back home are being taken care of. I’m here until Sunday for an advanced breathwork training, diving deeper into the work that continues to change my life and the lives of so many others.

And honestly? One of the greatest luxuries in the world isn’t a fancy hotel or palm trees…it’s being able to leave town and not spend the entire trip stress-texting, checking cameras, or wondering if the building is still standing.

Running a casino is a little like running a circus mixed with group therapy and occasional hostage negotiations, so to be able to step away and fully trust the people holding down the fort is not something I take lightly.

I feel incredibly grateful for my team this morning. Truly. They handle the day to day and all the little things most people never see. They care about our customers, they care about each other, and they continue showing up day after day with loyalty and heart.

Businesses don’t run because of one person. They run because of good people collectively carrying the weight together. And I happen to have some really, really stellar people.

So while I’m over here breathing deeply and pretending I’m the kind of woman who permanently lives in linen pants and drinks cucumber water, I just wanted to publicly say thank you to my crew back home.

Mikey, Sumer, Scott, and Joe.

You handle dumpster fires like pros and even bring the marshmallows. You make it possible for me to grow, occasionally travel, learn, and pour back into this business and community in a bigger way.
