⚔️🏰 Tomorrow the Gates Open! 🏰⚔️

Right now, all across the festival grounds, the transformation is underway.

Nearly 1,000 vendors, performers, volunteers, artisans, and crew members are either already on site or on the road to Billings, working tirelessly to bring the Montana Renaissance Festival to life.

The next 24 hours will be a whirlwind of activity. Tents are rising. Stages are being prepared. Merchants are arranging their wares. Performers are arriving from near and far. Volunteers are checking in and preparing to welcome thousands of guests.

To an outsider, it might look like complete chaos.

To us, it looks like magic.

One of the greatest joys of this day is seeing familiar faces return—people who have been part of this festival family for years—and meeting the many new vendors, performers, and volunteers joining us for the first time.

By this time tomorrow, the grounds will be filled with laughter, music, cheers, and over 10,000 of adventurers ready to make memories.

Thank you to every volunteer, performer, vendor, sponsor, and crew member helping make this happen. The Montana Renaissance Festival wouldn't exist without you.

Tomorrow, we open the gates.

And we cannot wait to welcome you home.

With two days remaining until the Montana Renaissance Festival returns to Billings, we took a look at where our ticket holders are coming from...

🌎 We've already sold tickets to guests from more than 30 states across the nation!

From Montana and Wyoming to Washington, California, Texas, Virginia, Alaska, and beyond, travelers are making plans to join the adventure.

But what truly amazes us is how far many of our guests are willing to journey:

🚗 Thousands are traveling 2–4 hours to attend
🚗 Hundreds more are traveling 4–6 hours
🚗 Some guests are making journeys of 8+ hours
✈️ And others are traveling from across the country to experience Montana's largest Renaissance Festival

Here in Montana, we often hear that people won't drive very far for an event.

In just 2 days, the gates will open and the Montana Renaissance Festival will return to Billings for our biggest season yet.

Right now, all across Montana and beyond, the final preparations are underway.

🧵 Costumers are sewing the last few stitches and putting the finishing touches on their garb.

⚔️ Knights are checking armor, shields, and weapons.

🎭 Performers are rehearsing their acts one last time before taking the stage.

🛍️ Merchants are finishing new creations, packing their wagons, and preparing to fill the village with handcrafted treasures.

🏰 And here at the festival grounds, our crews and volunteers continue transforming MetraPark into a world of adventure, magic, and merriment.

In just 48 hours, the village will come alive with:

While most of the realm is still counting down the days, our incredible Decor Team has already been hard at work transforming the MetraPark Festival Grounds into the 2026 Montana Renaissance Festival

In just the past two days, they've hauled, built, painted, hung banners, and worked countless hours to turn ordinary grounds into a place of adventure, wonder, and magic.

When thou walkest through the gates this weekend, take a moment to appreciate the hundreds of hours of work that happen before the first guest arrives. Every sign, banner, pathway, and themed area exists because of the dedication of an amazing team of volunteers and crew members who love this festival as much as you do.

The countdown continues!

In just 3 days, the gates will open and the Montana Renaissance Festival will return to Billings for our biggest season yet.

Right now, all across Montana and beyond, nearly 1,000 performers, entertainers, merchants, artisans, food vendors, and volunteers are packing their vehicles, loading trailers, gathering costumes, and preparing to hit the road.

Some will travel just a few miles. Others will journey hundreds of miles to help create one of the largest Renaissance Festivals in the region.

Tents, stages, merchant booths, costumes, props, instruments, armor, decorations, and thousands upon thousands of pieces of equipment are all making their way toward the MetraPark Festival Grounds.

What guests experience as a weekend of magic, adventure, and merriment is made possible by an incredible community that spends months—and often all year—preparing for these two days.

It's Montana Renaissance Festival time!!!! Come check us out this weekend June 6th and 7th. We will be performing at the Sea Rovers stage Saturday at 10:15a, 1p, and 3p and Sunday at 1p and 3p. Also on Sunday, we will be at the Rowdy Rogues stage at 10:15a. Come join in on the shenanigans and merriment. Hope to see you all there!!!!
