The Ghosty of Saint Valentine is here to wish you a day full of chocolate and love. But mostly chocolate. Pretty much just chocolate.
Do you have any Valentine's traditions? I, personally, always watch scary movies because it's something you can do alone or force someone else to watch with you. Either way, I'm getting enough candy and making enough popcorn for two and it's going to get eaten one way or another. This isn't a threat... Just a statement.

The Iron Giant is one of the best animated movies set in the PNW, during the Cold War, featuring a giant robot.
But really, I think it's just one of the best animated movies period. And a really unique film. Especially for a "kids' movie". It's just good, man.

I painted this version of him 5 years ago today and I'd say it's still in the top five of favorite things I've made.

If you haven't seen it, watch it. And then come get some stickers and/or a print when you've finished crying.

Sometimes you just need a cool hat to take some "feeling myself" pictures with.
These felt hats are super fun to paint. They do provide a bit of a challenge, especially the last one with the full color fade, but it's probably worth it. I think the next one needs a colorful galaxy or some shooting stars.

I don't know about you, but I'm a notoriously last minute shopper/maker. I've been in my studio, on Christmas Eve making things for my family in the morning. It's how I thrive.

It's finally time for the mash, the Monster Mash.
I wanted to share some of my favorite parts of the yard my dad and I put together for this year (before the crazy storm that threatened to shut all of Halloween down. This is our time, damn it!). There's a Monster House, several ghouls, at least one Grim Reaper, a few dozen grave stones, and, my current favorite, the werewolf. I could hear him through my window every night.
It's one of my favorite things in the world to do and I just think this year turned out really neato. (There's even a super cool video on it that may be in my reels that I'm super proud of, if you haven't seen it. If you have, I'll shut up about it now).

It's Halloween time.

For the last couple of years, my dad and I have been transforming our house into a graveyard. It started out with a few tombstones and a talking Ghoul. Somehow, someway, it's now become this monstrosity.
I had to edit down the original 20 minute, Ari Aster-esque video into 90 seconds for the gram, but I think we're all the better for it. Luckily, though, I possessed the uber talent, Deryk Cunningham Music , into creating some kickass music for it. Hopefully your head turns all the way back around this time, Der. Sorry about that.

Honestly, if you're in Billings, this is pretty neat to see and walkthrough. Just drive down Zimmerman Trail, you can't miss it.
