Triia is entering a new phase, and we want to share what that means for our community.

As we navigate shifts in funding and priorities, Triia will be moving into a quieter phase for a while. This means fewer program-led activities in the near future as we take time to realign and consider what comes next. This work is still important to us, and Triia is not going away.

We also want to share that Tally Monteau will be transitioning out of her role as Program Manager. We are grateful for the care, creativity, and leadership she has brought to Triia and to the artists, culture bearers, and partners connected to this work.

In the meantime, support for artists and tourism-related businesses continues. Our CDFI Loan Fund will be growing its offerings, with tools, training, and capital available for those building and strengthening their work.

Thank you for being part of this community. We’ll share more as the next chapter takes shape.

To our TRIIA Artist Collective-I want to take a moment to speak directly and honestly with you.

Over the past year, TRIIA has faced significant internal challenges, including staff turnover and the unexpected termination of our primary funding. I have also had some significant health issues. These disruptions impacted our ability to communicate consistently and support artists in the way we are committed to. For that, I offer my sincere apology.

There are artists who were unintentionally lost in our pipeline during this transition, and I am actively working to reconnect, rebuild systems, and restore trust. Our website maintenance was also discontinued during this time, and I am currently rebuilding the backend so we can better serve you moving forward.

I am grateful to share that with our AmeriCorps Vista-Jonah’s support, we are stabilizing operations and getting TRIIA back on track. Our focus now is on strengthening artist services, improving communication, and building a more resilient program that truly reflects the community it serves.

Thank you for your patience, your grace, and your continued belief in the vision of Indigenous artists supporting Indigenous artists. We are moving forward—together. Thank you for your patience! In gratitude~ Tally (TRIIA Program Manager)

Hello TRIIA Relatives & Creatives
At TRIIA, we believe Indigenous art lives within an ecosystem—artists, culture, community, land, history, and economy all connected. To keep this ecosystem strong, we’re listening.
We’re gathering community input to explore interest in Indigenous artist cooperatives and financial cooperatives, along with art-centered business education and financial tools designed by and for Native creatives. These collective models could support our communities through shared resources, access to capital, workshops, shared creative spaces, mentorship, and pathways to sustainable Indigenous-owned businesses.
Your voice helps shape what comes next.
Take the survey and help us build an Indigenous arts economy rooted in reciprocity, resilience, and collective care.
Our future grows stronger when we build it together.

**EDIT 10/28: I’ve officially sent out emails today to artists regarding consignment details 🤎
thank you all so much for your patience as we’ve encountered some delays throughout this year. I didnt want to accept anyone’s work until we were confident on an opening date.

If you haven’t received an email yet but are still interested in having your work displayed by our grand opening, please reach out to me at [email protected]

I’m so excited to showcase the amazing talent in our community and can’t wait to see everyone’s creations come together 🤎✨

As you may have heard, SSW Beadwork is opening a storefront in downtown Havre, Montana 🤎

I would absolutely love to share this space with other amazing local Indigenous artists. Whether it be beadwork, apparel, etc. please DM Selena Sandman-Wells or email [email protected] for further info.

Our store won’t be opening for some time, however I’d love to reach out now so artists can take this time to generate inventory. I’m so excited to work with y’all! 🤎✨
