The third YVCR residency of 2021 supported a video project by .gideon and choreographer . Alexis had a big vision for a project, involving filming at multiple locations across the US. With our scouting help, he found an ideal location in Billings to bring a scene to life. Robin Cantrell worked with one local dancer, our director, and one fellow resident dancer, creating and setting three dances for the film. The film will premiere Oct 2022.
Additionally, the timing was perfect for both Alexis and Robin to do some extra performing while in town! With so many *inctedible* artists overlapping in residency together, they were able to teach the movement to Sara Ciampa, create a stage-appropriate set up and staging by Robin, accommodate live musical performance by Alexis, and perform for an appreciative audience at Alberta Bair Theater. Robin also prepared a duet to perform at the same show, and Alexis filmed a scene for Bethany Mitchell's music video.
