Big Sur International Short Film Screening Series www.bigsurfilm.org The Big Sur International Short Film Screening Series showcases the best of short films from all over the world.

The screenings are outdoors in our natural amphitheatre, under the towering redwoods at the Henry Miller Memorial Library in Big Sur, using state-of-the-art digital equipment. This is one of the most beautiful venues in the world to view film. We are interested in films that are bold and uncensored, films that invite us into your world, that will shock us, madden us, make us cry and laugh, films w

ith moments that are especially lovely, serendipitous, interesting, candid or moving. There is no particular theme and the only restriction is that your film cannot have been shown in our series before. No fee and no limits on year of production.

We have been here at Stanford since Friday, Oct 18 focusing on her recovery every moment.

As she moves to the next stage—Acute Stroke Rehab—our hope is to secure a spot at CHOMP. It’s a place with an excellent reputation, and being close to home, family, and so many friends would mean the world to her recovery. The familiar support network and proximity to loved ones would make CHOMP the ideal setting for healing, far better than any alternative.

If you have ANY suggestions to help us make this happen, we would be deeply grateful.

The good news for anyone who finds the Tribeca Film Festival daunting is that the event, which starts Wednesday, is about the same size as last year’s slimmed-down edition — not that that’s terribly slim.

At 101 new features, the program is smaller than Sundance’s was in January but larger than the typical official selection at Cannes, which takes place in May.

Check out some hot picks in this New York Times article!!

One of last year's selections, "Frankie Keeps Talking," by Annabelle Attanasio, was (and remains) a hoot.

It's also a striking look at gender politics in today’s culture, the fury women feel when men talk over us, and the universal desire to be seen.

Check it out.
