The UHS Choir and One-Act team had an amazing experience today at the Birthplace of Country Music Museum, followed by a picnic lunch, then to the Barter Theatre to see “Come From Away”. The students represented Union with pride and exemplary behavior.

🔊 Hi everyone, and welcome to the 2026-2027 school year! As we get ready for a fantastic semester full of events, we have an important communication update.

📱 ALL students and parents should download the Wise County Schools app in order to receive important messages from Mrs. Sorah and the Union High School (and Middle School) Choral Department.

Once downloaded:

1️⃣ Tap “Rooms” at the bottom of the app
2️⃣ Students: Sign in using your school Google account
3️⃣ Parents: Sign in using the phone number or email address provided during school registration
4️⃣ Turn ON notifications so you don’t miss important information!

🎵 ALL communication with chorus members and their families will take place through the WCPS app and Google Classroom.

Rosters have already been uploaded, so all you have to do is opt in!

I just wanted to take a moment to thank the awesome chaperones who helped make our trip to Charlotte fun, safe, and unforgettable! Because of you, we had zero issues, everyone stayed on schedule, and I was able to be well rested to focus on getting everyone from point A to point B and everywhere in between safely. I am truly thankful for each of you: Amber, Teresa, Beth, James, Pearl, Mindy, Monica! I hope you all have a wonderful summer with your families!

Our third and final day in North Carolina consisted of Carolina Harbor Water Park! Oh and then a long trek back home. We had such a great time!

Day 2 of our Charlotte trip consisted of Carowinds! 🎢 One of the best (maybe THE best) theme park I’ve ever been to. It was a fantastic day!

Day 1 of our Charlotte trip consisted of travel 🚌, SeaLife Aquarium 🐠, Concord Mills Mall 🛍️, and pool/down time at the hotel 🏨. Today is Carowinds! 🎢

We made it safely to our first destination: SeaLife Aquarium at the Concord Mills Mall in Charlotte, NC!

Safe travels for the UHS Band (and chorus) as we head to Carowinds for the next couple of days. 118 of the best traveling companions!

I made 200 programs and had 0 left. 😱 What a great crowd of supporters! And wow, the kids sang so well and I love how they support each other. “Voices” spoke volumes. Thank you to all involved for another wonderful spring concert!
