Maggard Sound is a full service recording studio located in the mountains of Southwest Virginia. We have a long history that has become a part of the musical heritage of the Appalachian region. We offer an experienced staff, quality equipment, and a relaxed work environment all at very reasonable rates. Somewhere in the early 1990's we had Joe Mills build these headphone boxes. We did a lot of live, all in one day sessions then. Probably the best one single thing we ever bought for the studio. Not many studios had a headphone system like this back
then.
Joe also built us a couple plate mics and a MM-1 Mini mic.
I used the Headphone boxes up to a few years ago! Used the MM-1 on acoustic guitar for years! Still use the plate mics some!
I think Joe was originally from Kingsport and somehow Joe and Dad knew each other. Later on Joe built and sold the Mor Me rack units that a lot of Studio musicians used!
