Some projects are harder than others, and some are much easier than expected! We’ve done another mural for this family in the past on their fence so I knew what to expect, but sometimes life as an artist throws curveballs atcha! You just gotta go get an extra coffee (or a couple - Shebrews 😉), lock in, and do the dang thing. 💪🏽 The end result ALWAYSSSSS makes everything worth it!!!

This week our family is officially making the move to Denton! 🥹

As exciting as this new chapter is, it’s bittersweet to say goodbye to a community that has supported Whole Heart Studio from the very beginning. Big Spring has given me so many opportunities to create, connect, and grow, and I’m incredibly grateful for every client who trusted me with their windows, murals, and creative projects.

Because of the move, I am no longer accepting custom mural or window painting requests in Big Spring for the time being. I do plan on coming back periodically for requests, and to see friends, so please continue to consider me for projects! 🥹

Big Spring will always hold a special place in my heart. I’m looking forward to this next adventure in Denton, but I’ll never forget where it all started. 💖

I have to give a special shoutout to the crew that became so much more than clients.

Chariti was one of my very first clients, and somewhere along the way she became one of my best friends. She started helping me on murals, brought endless laughs and good times, and could always put me in a better mood no matter the day.

Raelynn was also one of my first clients and has been one of my biggest supporters from the start. When I was pregnant and couldn’t keep up with window painting and mural work the way I wanted to, she gave me opportunities to get out of the house and keep working. I’m so grateful for her support over the years, and I love that Leo gets to have her son as a best friend. 🥹

And Leah my very first “employee.” She helped me set up paint parties, worked alongside me at Vendor’s Paradise, and became such a good friend. Somehow Rae, Leah, and I all ended up pregnant around the same time, and what started as work turned into friendships for us mamas AND our babies that I’ll always treasure.

Thank you girls for everything. 😭💖

Whole Heart Studio has been given the incredible opportunity to paint several murals for Tate’s Place here in Big Spring. 💛

Tate’s Place is a local nonprofit doing meaningful work for our community, and after hearing their vision for murals, I knew I wanted to be part of it. Because of the massive impact they make, I’ve decided not to charge them directly for the murals so that more of their funds can continue going back into helping others. The mural will be completed by next week.

That being said, murals require a lot of materials, supplies, and time; so I’m reaching out to see if any local businesses, families, or community members would like to sponsor a mural (or even part of one)!

Sponsors will:
-Help bring uplifting, joyful artwork into a space serving our community
-Be recognized publicly on social media as a mural sponsor
-Be directly supporting local art AND a local nonprofit at the same time
-Sponsors will also have the opportunity to have their name or business tagged on the mural where the artist signature is

Whether you’d like to fully sponsor a mural, contribute partially, donate supplies, or simply share this post… every bit helps make this project possible.

Big Spring has supported Whole Heart Studio in so many ways over the years, and I’d love for this to become something beautiful our community creates together.

Shoutout to Smoochies for bringing us back to liiiife after that hot window paint! This Okie is still not use to the West Texas dry heat. We got watermelon dirty sodas and when I say they were life changing… just trust me. Go getcha one!!! 💖☀️
