I painted this watercolor from a photo that I took many years ago. This pair of Raccoons lived in a dead tree by the field.
They were looking to get into trouble, and they did. They were able to lift up some shingles and get into the ceiling...!

“Trail Ride Break” This is a watercolor painting that I’ve been working on for a while.
My sister & I visited a Dude Ranch in Wyoming many years ago. This was an all day trail ride!
So much fun ! And so grateful for the hot tub & Tylenol at night!

Here are a couple of my hyacinth paintings. The larger painting is from a botanical art class. The smaller one is me just practicing.

Happy Spring!!!
My goal this year is to share a painting a week! This painting is of snowdrops,
that can survive the cruel March weather. It’s an 8 x 10 watercolor which when it’s matted will fit an 11x14 frame.

This painting is "Dancing Daisies" the other coordinating piece is "Queen Anne's Lace."
I also have 2 paintings at the Spring: Color, Movement, Growth Show at St. Charles Art Council .March 12, 2026, through April 26, 2026 , near the Breadsmith bakery.

I'm hoping by changing my photo to spring flowers we might see some...eventually!
This is a small watercolor ( 5 x7 ) on Mineral paper, which is quite different from watercolor paper.
Featuring many flowers from my garden. Pansies,grape hyacinths, vinca vine,forget- me -nots and primroses which are actually starting to push through the cold ground!
