BROOM BROOM! That's the sound of a car on its way to the Sedalia Center to register for our Mini-Broom Making Workshops! 🧹 🏎️💨🧹

Registration is OPEN for mini-broom making workshops with Boujee Broom Company, Friday, June 12th and Saturday, June 13th! 🧹💕🪄

Back by popular demand, we're so happy to welcome Boujee Broom Co to the Sedalia Center for these mini-broom making workshops. Boujee Broom Co 🧹swept us off our feet🧹 with their hands-on program at this year's Terrapin Mountain Earth Festival, and we've been 🧹dusting off🧹 our craft skills ever since. Did you miss out on the fun at Terrapin? Looking for the perfect belated Mother's Day gift, something to do together with a friend or loved one, or just a fun new thing to learn and practice this summer? Now's your chance! 🙌

Boujee Broom's Janine Russell will guide you through making your own mini broom as you learn about the charm and tradition of this beautiful folk art. Janine has been interested in honoring, learning, and creating traditional crafts since as long as she can remember. "Every broom is hand-dyed and handmade with intention and a wee bit of magick! All of the brooms are fashionable, functional for everyday muggles and for magickal practices. Every broom is unique and one of a kind." 🫶🧡

A heartfelt thank you to Bedford Community Health Foundation for their grant to help provide snacks for the children who attend Living Arts Afternoons, Sedalia's free after-school program offered during the school year for elementary aged children.

It may seem simple, but a good snack after school makes a big difference!

We are so grateful for this support and for the Foundation’s continued investment in the health and well-being of children and families in our community. ❤️

It wouldn't be another legendary Doc McCabe's Bluegrass Festival if it weren't for the campers and jammers who make themselves at home in Sedalia for the weekend! ⛺️🪕🎻🌲🚐 Campground registration is now OPEN!! 30 and 50 amp hookups are available in our newly upgraded campground field, and tent camping is available around the grounds.
