In the upcoming feature film TOP FORM, two exceptional actresses have come aboard the ensemble, and we could not be more excited! Olivia d’Abo will play renowned therapist Dr. Carolyn Savier, and Amanda Schoonover will portray dedicated school superintendent Marian Fitzgerald! These two artists are foundational players for the story of Cory Pawlings, a teenager on the autism spectrum who finds an intense passion and drive to excel through the game of football (that’s soccer for many of you), transforming her life and also that of those around her. Cory’s journey in TOP FORM shall be one of the films in Invictus’ “Football Trilogy”, along with SCILLY GAMES and THE WONDERS. Stay tuned! ⚽️ Written and Directed by Alexander Emmert, Produced by Invictus Films & Rose City Productions. 🌟⚽️👍🏻

HAPPY 20TH BIRTHDAY TO INVICTUS FILMS!!!

Twenty years ago today, May 1st of 2004, I awoke after a great night out at Bishop's Collar with Melissa T., left her place on Mt. Vernon Street and walked to my car. As I opened the door I looked at my passenger’s seat and saw a manila folder which my lawyer, Elias, had given me the day before. It was a beautiful, warm Saturday morning, and thus I determined to grab a cup of coffee in the Philadelphia Museum of Art neighborhood and finish filling out the stack of papers which lay inside the large envelope.

These were the final documents which would be submitted for my business license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and would therefore give birth to a small corporation which would specialize in the development and production of television programs and later feature-length motion pictures, which I named Invictus Films, due to my fascination with what the Romans called Sol Invictus (the Unconquerable Sun).

Almost four weeks later, on Friday the 28th, I received the license, opened a business account at Commerce Bank and began a very long, interesting trip to this point in my life now; one which has taken me also back to the UK and Ireland, to California and Texas, to Iceland, Lithuania, France, Spain, Greece, Germany, Italy and Monaco, to Kenya, Tanzania and the Lakes of Equatorial Africa. It has been an amazing journey, with successes and failures, hits and misses, festivals and awards, brilliant triumphs and crushing losses.

What is now Invictus Entertainment Group, is wonderfully far flung, but still small, independent minded and creatively driven, committed to the highest levels of screenwriting, visually fascinating images and elevating the best available talent of similar artistic and aesthetic sentiment. We look to the future with the same passion, and the same glow in our hearts, as I had on that day twenty ago when I finished the paperwork to begin all of this.

THANK YOU, each and every one of you, who have been friends, partners, allies, associates, employees, actors, crew and supporters of Invictus Films, Paddock Pictures, Invictus Europa, Avispa Films, Solamar Productions, and the new Rose City Productions !!! There are far too many of you to name!!! But you all know who you are, and you know that I love you!!! ❤️‍🔥
