If you lost your home and you are starting over in a new kitchen; if your hands are dry and cracking from sifting ashes or scrubbing black mud off your floor - we have free organic spices and homemade organic comfrey salve for you. Come on in and take some and we'll try to keep them in stock. It's a little thing but it might make life a little nicer. Open 10-4 Friday through Sunday. No purchase necessary!

Beulah Farmers Market Saturday, August 8, 10-12. Expect meat and eggs, seasonal produce including peaches; bread, baked goods and treats; jams and jellies; and the frozen tamales will be back! If you want to order boxes of peaches, Perdita of Quarter Acre and a Mule will have a signup sheet so she knows how many boxes to order. And Beulah Valley Pottery will continue the precedent we set last time - any Beulah firefighter who shows up wearing your Beulah Fire T-shirt will get a free mug!

Been pushing to finish my SIEA pots. Throwing, trimming, attaching the stamp, firing, glazing, firing again - these things are all over my studio. I'm getting close to the finish line, crossing fingers not too many of them fail in the firing.

I've seen a call for Palisade Peaches in Beulah. Quarter Acre and a Mule brought Palisade Peaches to the last Beulah Farmer's Market, and she'll bring some next time (August 8). She can bring more if I know more people want them. So let me know!

Beulah Valley Pottery will be turning on the Open sign for the first time since June 28! We will be offering discounts to Beulah residents, and donating a portion of our proceeds to fire relief. Since the Dotson cabin will be closed for the rest of the season, we have brought in work from some of the artists who were represented there. Some of them lost their homes and studios to the fire.

A head's up, Quarter Acre and a Mule will be bringing peaches, corn, green beans, a very limited quantity of tomatoes, and various squash including yellow, zucchini, patty pan, and calabacita. After all this hot weather we are ready for real summer produce!
