There are still SPOTS AVAILABLE for Family Museum Dance's Fall Classes, including Creative Movement! Created especially for 3-year-olds, this Wednesday afternoon class (3-3:45 p.m. starting September 9) is the perfect FIRST STEP for your little one! They'll learn to be in the classroom environment, follow directions, work with others, and express themselves through a wide variety of movement exercises. Creative Movement includes the very basics of ballet and acting out stories through movement. Our focus is on learning to love dance class, making new friends, and working well with others. 🌎Travel through the world of dance on Monday as we learn the basics of Flamenco, Mazurka, Czardas & the Tarantella in a character dance class!

👟Get your body movin' and groovin' in Hip Hop class on Tuesday - don't forget we have FMDC auditions right after class!

🦢Grab 4 friends, link arms and try some Classical Ballet choreography as we learn the Dance of the Little Swans from Swan Lake on Wednesday!

☘Hop, skip and jig your way to Ms. Claudia's Irish Dance class on Thursday - no experience necessary! Bring your tap shoes if you have them!

All classes are $15 at the door! You do not need to be a Family Museum student to attend!

⭐FMDC Meeting & Audition - THIS TUESDAY!

Dancers age 10+ who are enrolled in three classes (including Ballet 4 or higher) who are interested in joining the Family Museum Dance Company for the 2026-2027 season are invited to join us for an informational meeting and audition THIS TUESDAY, July 28, from 5-7pm. Bring a parent for the first 30 minutes to learn about the company, and then dancers will stay for a dance audition until 7pm. Please dress for ballet & bring jazz or hip hop shoes if you have them! We will see you there!

No registration required, and you do not have to be a Family Museum student to attend class. So grab a friend to try a new style, or keep your skills up this summer!

Suggested age for Intermediate/Advanced classes is 10+ or experience in a Ballet 4 level or higher. Suggested level for Int/Adv Tap is Tap 5 & up or age 12+

💫FMDC Meeting & Audition is in TWO WEEKS!

Dancers age 10+ who are interested in joining the Family Museum Dance Company for the 2026-2027 Season should bring a parent to our meeting and audition on Tuesday, July 28 from 5-7pm! To be eligible for FMDC, you must be enrolled in at least 3 classes at the Museum one of which must be a Ballet class at level 4 or higher.

Students will learn the building blocks of ballet while growing in confidence, coordination, and creativity - all in a fun, supportive environment. Family Museum Dance offers year-long classes in creative movement, ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop, modern, and pointe for ages 3-18 that inspire a lifelong love of dance! Classes focus on building a strong technical foundation while encouraging expression, creativity, and confidence. The year ends with a unique, theatrical production showcasing dancers’ skills and artistry!
