Sunshine Symphony was born when female vocalist, keyboardist and founder Christine Bainbridge and fellow lead vocalist Ricky Bell left popular Lehigh Valley cover band She Said Sunday. Christine, a bright creative force in her former band, wanted a name for her new project that reflected her generally cheerful outlook on life. Ricky, who plays guitar, drums, bass, keyboards and sings, is essential

In the search for our new line-up, we chose members with considerable performance experience, that we know can provide that on-stage chemistry essential to an electrifying performance. In 2014, Sunshine Symphony was voted one of the Top Cover Bands in Philadelphia by CBS 3 Philly, and was also nominated for the Discover New Artist Award by the Lehigh Valley Music Awards (LVMA) Association. In 2017, Christine was recognized by the LVMA board with Special Honors for 20 years of Performing. Sunshine Symphony is:

🍋 When Ricky and I started this band back in January 2014 we were fueled by making lemonade out of lemons. And I think we did make some pretty good Sunshiny lemonade.
😷 COVID dashed our hopes for this 2020 - pretty much all of our gigs, weddings included, cancelled. Despite our best efforts to keep this thing going, collectively, we've decided to disband.
🎶 Our last public gig will be this Saturday at the Wooden Match from 7-10 pm. We'll be doing a couple of weddings this fall as well.
🎧 We can't thank you enough for listening these past 6 years. We also want to thank all the talented musicians that were a part of Sunshine Symphony over the past 6 years: Ian, Pete, Tim, Kyle, Adam, and of course Billy, Jason and Matt. A very special thanks to my husband Ricky for being my partner in crime through this journey!

Over the holidays, Ricky and Christine lost their beloved dog Dakota. She'd bark ferociously at each band member as they came through the front door, even thought they had been coming over every week for years. She also had guest appearances in many of our videos. We miss her terribly but are so thankful for the time we spent with her. She stole the show in this video we did a couple of years ago.
