Reading these testimonials from everyone really helped reinforce why everyone in the cast, band, and crew put so much work into putting on the best show that we could. What a truly astounding feeling debuting to you all the world premier of Ocean Avenue. What started as an idea to base a musical around the music of my teenage years, to writing it during the pandemic (at the insistence of ), finding , the perfect band to bring this music to our audience, enlisting to direct because what the heck do I know about theatre?, auditioning and casting an amazing and talented group of actors, assembling the dream team of and as stage managers, and everyone giving their time, passion and talent to make this opening weekend an absolute blast for everyone involved! These are just a few snapshots of our fantastic cast and band killing it up on stage for you all. They really brought to life what I wrote down and Veronica envisioned, and for that, I am so thankful. It is bittersweet that we only had two shows to see if this would idea would work, but from the feedback we’ve gotten, I think we can say that it absolutely resonated with every person who came to the IceHouse. Thank you for coming out, supporting local theatre, supporting , and supporting this crazy idea I had. And in the timeless words of a certain Philly band 🎶We got older, But we’re still young, We never grew out of this feeling that we won’t give up.🎶

**APPRECIATION POST**
Today is opening night for the world premiere of Ocean Avenue, and none of this would have been possible if not for the dream team of our Stage Managers and ! They have made the production of this show so flawless that it didn’t feel like a chore to come to rehearsal, and were able to handle everything so that can focus on the show (more about Veronica below). After sitting at our last rehearsal with the cast yesterday, and hearing about how much fun everyone had, the new friends they made, and how everyone felt like it was a safe space to be themselves, then that’s when I knew they had done a great job. Thank you to both of you for everything you have done these past few months! You are very much appreciated by everyone in this show. As for our director Veronica. How do I even start to sing her praises? I came to her months ago with this script, a venue and a date for the show. I knew she would be perfect to bring this story to life on the stage, and once we did the read through, I think she felt the same way. Here we are months later with an amazing cast of talented actors, an incredible band who’s ready to rock your faces off, and a show that I can’t describe how much it means to see it come to life. So, if you happen to see these three at the show this weekend, make sure to tell them how amazing they are!
