Gates open at 5:30 PM with the event beginning at 7 PM and parking will be free.

📣 This weekend is the final opportunity for singers to apply for the 13th Biennial Bach Vocal Competition! 📣

The Bach Choir of Bethlehem in collaboration with The American Bach Society will host the 13th Biennial Bach Vocal Competition for American Singers on October 24, 2026 in Bethlehem, PA. Preliminary applications are due by Saturday, May 23, 2026 at 11:59 PM, EST.

Created to encourage the performance and study of Bach’s vocal repertoire among emerging artists, the competition provides a distinguished platform for singers to demonstrate both technical mastery and stylistic understanding. Over more than two decades, the competition has highlighted many of the nation’s most promising young artists.

Last night we came together to celebrate our wonderful choir and the closing of our season. From current choir to alumni, to Bach Choir staff and the partners who lift all of us up throughout the year, it was a special celebration to honor the work and dedication put into a meaningful season. Thank you for showing up with your voices, your hearts, and your earnest dedication to an organization bigger than any one of us.

It was especially moving to welcome choir alumni back into the room. Longtime members reconnected with old friends, met many of our newer singers, and shared stories, memories, and wisdom gathered across decades of musicmaking. Their presence was a reminder that the Bach Choir is not just built season by season, but generation by generation.

A special bonus, members of the choir put on a ‘fashion show’ of prior choir attire at the end of our festivities. Enjoy the looks of yesteryear!
