Orillia interview highlight - singular inspiration and an evolving songwriting process

We recently had Andrew Marczak and Peach from Orillia on for a terrific talk and exploration of their music and journey.

In this snippet, we touch on his songwriting process, and how it was originally based on being inspired to write all in one sitting and without feeling like he was putting his own impressions on the art - which has actually happened a number of times for him! However it became clear that this was unfair and unsustainable, and he now allows for a process that includes drafts and edits and including his voice in the song.

Hope you enjoy, and then check out the full interview, as well as their entire catalog.

Jacob Givens interview highlight: origin story of his viral video about "Smells Like Teen Spirit"

We recently had on "that guy who has funny reactions to 90s music on the internet" - Jacob Givens. We had such a blast reminiscing about buried treasures from bands during that era, and what it was like to hear some of that iconic music for the first time.

In this snippet, Jacob shares some behind the scenes details on his first viral video that started it all - which was dedicated to "Smells Like Teen Spirit" from Nirvana.

Did you know that he didn't mean for it to be like a silent movie? But that element was pure gold and really made these what they are.

"Smells Like Teen Spirit" was also the song that changed his ears forever. Check out the full interview Jacob Givens - Your Next Favorite Band to learn all about that and much more - and be sure to check out Jacob's entire channel and subscribe while you are there.

KOSER interview highlight - the moment the sobriety journey started

We thoroughly enjoyed having KOSER on the show, and what a show it was. The convo had so many special moments, and then it was all capped off with an incredible live performance.

In this clip, KOSER shares the moment where she asked herself if the path she was currently one was the right one, and she said "no", which lead her down a sober path. And it wasn't during a deep low, or followed by an elating high.

And it also met the unfortunate stigma of the songwriter must be wounded and altered - which is not the case. As proven by KOSER's magical music she continues to create.

Please enjoy the snippet, and then the entire interview, and her entire catalog. And hope to see you at a live show soon!
