I don't ask people to share the Rumble Drags event very often, but I'm going to ask everyone to help us out with this one.
Thunder Valley has had a tough year with Mother Nature. Rainouts are part of the business when you own a drag strip, but this year they've had more than their fair share.
The Rumble has always been a grassroots event, and Thunder Valley has supported what we're doing from the beginning. The truth is, without small independent drag strips like Thunder Valley, a lot of us wouldn't have a place to take these old cars and actually race them the way they were built to be raced.
So whether you're bringing a race car, putting something in the show, coming out to watch, or you just enjoy seeing this kind of old-school stuff continue — please share the Rumble on your page. Invite some friends. Tell somebody who hasn't been before.
We're not looking for sympathy and we're certainly not asking anybody for a handout. We're asking you to come out, have a hell of a good time, and help us pack Thunder Valley for a weekend.
Supporting a local drag strip is pretty simple: put people through the gate.
Thunder Valley has supported our eclectic little group of hot rods, racers and misfits, and we'd like to return the favor.
Share it. Bring some friends. Fill the stands. Fill the pits. And let's make some noise.
See you in September! - Todd
