Quick reminder for scare actors: our Temenos Improv Character Lab is coming up this Wednesday!

If you want your character to feel like a real menace on the trail rather than just someone in makeup jumping from behind a flat, this workshop is built for you.
We’re spending two hours dialing in the meat of your character:

The "Why": What brought them here, and what do they actually want from the victims walking through?

The Daily Grind: What do they do when no one is watching?

Strengths & Flaws: Quirks and traits that make your reactions specific, unpredictable, and grounded.

Once we build out that foundation, we’re getting on our feet. We'll run improv drills to sharpen your quick-hit dialogue, test split-second reactions, and give you instincts you can actually pull from during a live run.
Great for fresh roles or characters you've been haunting with for years.

Temenos Improv is teaming up with Haunted Overload for a special one-night Character Building Workshop just in time for haunt season!

Join Theryn and Chloe (pictured here)—two long-time Haunted Overload haunters—and the rest of the Temenos team as they bring their passion and improv skills to you. Having spent years on the trail, they know firsthand that an unforgettable scare goes far beyond the costume; it’s all about who you become in the shadows.

In this two-hour interactive workshop, we’ll dive deep into:

Pinpointing your character’s core passions, wants, and motivations.

Crafting unique physical behaviors, movement, and presence.

Improvising with confidence to react to whatever haunt-goers throw your way!
